Did they explicitly say so? Because if they didn't, I'd rather keep yelling to be sure they get the message.

Agreed. I think we learned that blindly trusting BioWare leads to dissapointment...

Agreed. It would have shown that Shepard cares about his/her squad without assuming who the player likes more.

Maybe an additional shot of the LI. And that would be it.

That'd be ideal. I mean, that's what most of my Shepards are fighting for. And it'd be good if the squad from 2, Traynor, Kelly, Cortez and (sigh) Allers could get in there too.

There should have been a little flashback of friggen everyone. Didn't everyone help in some way shape or form at some time at some point in this game series.

No. She will never step foot on the Normandy in any of my playthroughs. If she popped up in the flashbacks, it would be even weirder than Liara whom my main Shepard never talks to and never takes on missions.

They didn't include the necessary movie files, and when those files aren't found, the scene defaults to Liara. Bug, one that'll certainly get fixed in the EC…

Liara has plot armour and is forced on you as a BFF. To be honest her being BFF is always creepy unless shepard romances her at some point.

I'm not reading through these posts, so forgive me if I repeat anything. This was a big issue with me too. I romanced Garrus, so I thought he would be my Shepard's last thought, not Liara. Apparently, Liara is the default last flashback, but its ok, because if you romanced Kaidan or Ashley you'll get them as the last flashback instead of Liara. I hope that Extended Ending DLC fixes this.

I like the flashbacks if you had a LI (the ME2 LIs should be included though).
If you didn't, it probably would have been better with the entire squad, or if the flashback was based on an influence system showing the squaddie with the highest influence score.

I was trying to cover the 'all potential LIs' base. Somewhere, you know there's a Shepard who just loooooves Allers.

Though I suppose your fireteam throughout the games is better. But what if you didn't recruit someone in 2... Argh.

Other characters being forced on you doesn't excuse doing the same with Liara.

When the Liara fans descend upon us, who are feeling like Liara is forced on us, am I the only one who starts to hate Liara More? Because I'd really like to know this?
I don't go into the Liara Support Thread because I have no Support to offer her, so why do the Liara fans insist on coming into the Anti-Liara Threads, where people who feel Liara is being forced on them try and share their pain, only to have more Liara forced their way?

Maybe someone should create a group for the " Feeling Liara being Forced on us" crowd where the leader has to approve everyone entry.
If someone wants to do that PM I'd be happy to share my feelings without getting more upset at Liara being forced my way.

No. The Liara fans shouldn't be punished because they like Liara. They are very fortunate that Bioware loves Liara so much that they got everything they could possibly wish for her both as a romance and a friend. I don't think I've seen any of her fans complain about anything about Liara's romance.

They are just happily blinded by their fortune and don't see why everyone else is mad.

Anyone of us would feel compelled to go into a thread that is anti-our favorite character- to defend out favorite character.

Explaining why you don't like a character is fine, but forming a group or thread just to bash and hate and flame on a character is wrong.

I understand that you guys feel upset because Liara got more screentime, you should request DLC for your LI. It's better that way and could make Bioware do something about it. We'll support you as well more DLC for everyone. But keep bashing a character is like we are fighting each other, nothing good could come from this. Negative feeling etc... If someone hurt the people you love, they hurt you as well. You hurt us.

Pretty much this. Not to mention that hating a fictional character to such a degree is as questionable and tawdry as fans oversexualizing their love interests (I swear some discussions and images on here have me raising an eyebrow way too many times).

Do something, we have held the line and make Bioware release the EC DLC for better or for worse. Hate the character is like hitting our furnitures while doing something brings more hope and good.

Life is unfair. I doubt aiming all the bitterness towards a fictional character is rewarding. Never say never though, considering the ending as a whole is being looked into perhaps after there may be something in store for other characters as well.

And though rubynorman may seem too hopeful, I think he's on that right track that it may be a good idea to vent out the frustrations in a more positive way than just smiteful words.

THIS, I also heard that if you romanced Kaidan or Ashley you saw them instead of Liara, romance anyone else and you get Liara

Someone said that there was apparently glitches that meant they couldn't put all the LIs in.


Well my take on that is this

If you cant get flashbacks for all of the LIs then there shouldn't have been flashbacks put in for ANY of them.
