Banshees screams are only indicators to get out your Cobras out if you're a power based class, or get your energy drain/overload spam ready :P

Mind you, I do feel a little bit of dread when 3 banshees and a couple of brutes are swarming the extraction point on Gold... goddammit, where are those COBRAS?

Oh yeah, got one right here.

Yeah, that's just sweet when the pile all over you.
I think that I have a flag glued to my forehead and they always go after me:unsure:. And usually the rest of the squad is running wild all around the map so if I don't have a medkit... it can get ugly.

I disagree that Infiltrators should immediately act to be on revive or objective duty

So you'd rather let an Asari or a Drell do all that ? That doesn't make any sense.

Re: GPS

The main thing about using it is tracking a little bit to account for the distance to the target, if they are on the move. It takes some time to get used to but it's far easier to use than a sniper, and packs a helluva punch. Mind you this is on PC, but my build runs with spare thermal clip and extended barrel. The damage on it is through the roof, although you'll lose headshots.

The other bonuses the GI gives is the rate of fire on hunter mode seriously helps GPS, and speed bonuses help to keep you resupplied without using too much time.

The damage bonuses with Geth weaponry as well just make it a fantastically well rounded weapon right up to Gold, where the lack of headshots becomes very obvious compared to the Black Widow.

Re: recent post

Well, that's part of the reason why I love tactical cloak so much. Hit '1' Boom instant loss of all aggro. I've once cloaked, having been forced out the extraction zone by the boss wave, charged straight back in, and fired a missile at my feet on FBW. Revived two mates with 2 seconds to go, full extraction. Staggers in this game can ruin your day, and tactical cloak helps you avoid most of them.

Re: "So you'd rather let an Asari or a Drell do all that ? That doesn't make any sense. "

No, it's about using sense. If a Turian soldier is there, I want him to do it because he's got a Revenant and it's my optimal range for fighting. If it's an Adept, they've got crowd control which is very useful for covering someone doing an objective. I'm saying the infiltrator isn't necessariy the best choice in every situation.

I'll for sure hunt for it, if it's not yet in my arsenal.
Cloak is great for that, but when I am not playing infiltrator, the brutes and banshees look like they have developed a taste for my pink armored... oh... I think I get it now...

Ok, gotta go kill some brutes.

Cheers!

Ole, Matador! I believe your pinkness acts like a beacon of rage for those Brutes and shees.

Meh, it's not hard to create effective builds, even for Gold, provided that you don't completely use ridiculously underpowered weapons and you're not trying to run around melee'ing everything.

I don't ALWAYS top the scoreboards...but when i do, it's usually by a decent margin, and about 9 out of every 10 rounds I play. :P

But I am from the COD audience, EA wanted me!
I AM IMPORTANT!
Topping score boards is all that matters. My teammates can eat dirt.

To all people saying that topping the scoreboard isn't important, you are right in a way, but lets look at the definition of good players in the most basic form. They will try to stay alive/keep team alive at all costs. This consists of eliminating enemies as quickly as possible, use tact and reason when going for objectives, and trying your hardest to not go down in most scenarios. If you do all of these better than the rest of your team you will top the scoreboard (unless playing a designated biotic det role).

Whenever I am First or Second mid-match......I start to worry. If we finish, it is a miracle - I am just not aggressive and always seem to get caught out of cover by ravager or something. I love playing support and feel my being last or third most of the time makes the next guy up feel really great. It's all good.

My number one goal in this game is to eliminate the enemy. I always go out of my way to revive, but when people **** about my score and how I "Steal" their kills, I put the Mic down and continue. I'll be damned if I let some other person take their sweet ass time killing the enemy. I hit em hard and fast, then move on. I'm usually at the top 2 and I'm proud of it. I never brag in the PUB though. That's just some childish shiet.

Well that and "always" is an absolute. If you claim to always get top score, you're a liar. I often get top score on a Human Sentinel, but it's not every time. I almost never get top score on a Salarian Engineer, but it can happen if my squad totally sucked. It varies.

it's surprisingly easy to get top score as a SE against geth and cerberus.  ED sets up tech explosions nicely and if you're constantly shooting (as you should be bc of decoy), you should be racking up the points.

I make the top 2 about 50% of the time. I rock.

People tend to forget or otherwise discount when they don't score near the top. Kinda like that time I forgot I bought $80 in Spectre Packs.

It's just easy way to say:
1) My build is worth seeing.
2) My tactic is good.
3) I'm a good player.
etc.

Being the most helpful/useful team player > topping the scoreboard.

With some classes that will automatically mean you scoring more than others (geth infiltrator with gps, or whatever). With other classes (such as healer geth engineer, or decoy salarian engineer, etc...) you might be dead last in points, but still be worth your weight in the team.

I think that a lot of people would find it interesting to learn a bit more about how to play MP in ME3.
First of all - not many know where to stick between waves. You can't blame them for running around if they don't know what that might do.
Seconds - not only kill, support too.
Third - revive if it's possible, not always. It's better to finish a wave with 1 less player, than never finish it at all.

We could probably go a long way with this, but my point is: there should be a bit bigger understanding between players in the game and not flaming a poor guy without a mic, who just joing MP and wants to have fun.

We've all been noobs at some point...:)

I find multiplayer performance to be better evaluated as : My team did gold reapers in 20 minutes. That is a much better definition of skill than say, I beat the next highest person in our wave 10 wipe, by 50k points.
This is a team game, and adequately rewards people who play with that mentality. "Kill Stealing" is a term that is suggestive of failure to comprehend simple game mechanics.

On a few occasions "kill stealing" might be the right term,, but usually it's assisting. If I see a TM backingoff while reloading and a pyro with a few % of health starts baking him, I finish it off. For the sake of TM not being killed. I often run through such firefights and asist with overload, which maxed can be a lot of help fo everyone.

And 100% agree on the performance. The time & score of all people can be the grad for the players.

Very often I find players with very high N7 rank tailing in the scores, while guys around 30-50 can be alongside me on the top. So N7 is only for our ego and picking chicks in bar. (Yep, tried it. doesn't work).

I was always near the bottom of the score as my engineer spamming overload, but once I got my Carnifex, top of the charts. With good aim, which I worked on, you get crazy points because of all the ridiculous amounts of heads you make pop off with that thing, hell even before I got a scope. Now that I have a paladin it's even better.

Weapon makes a difference.

BS. Topping the scoreboard as a lvl1 mattock wielding human infliltrator > being actually useful.

Top vs geth with ED salarian
Mid vs anything else

Top vs bronze on melee krogan/ vanguard if ignore hack tasks
Dead vs anything else

Mvp vs ceb on AA
meh on points

I'd rather stand in a hack task or get objectives done inside 3.30 for extra credits than score points.
