While this is true (again, because most people are only talking about beating Joe PuG), OPTIMIZING your score requires some counterproductive behavior.

This coming from one of the most ridiculous forum braggarts. Just..lol.

Topping scoreboards is incredibly easy to do, and all it takes is some team-crippling behavior. As a low level, you can simply spam combo setups and avoid like the plague ever triggering a teammates combo. Making sure to sneak those killing shots is an easy way to do it, as well. And always clearing out the weaker enemies really stacks those points up, ignore the bosses until the end! Damage against shields and barriers is worth very few points, remember.

It's all just basic, point-whoring garbage anyone can do at level 1. And it's even worse for people who don't even know the difference. Playing badly for points can cripple your teammates, artificially inflating your score even further. Sniper denying Fire/Biotic Explosions by focusing the wrong targets? Hooray for you.

Some players turn their score into a Selfishness Index. Being singularly successful is so incredibly easy, people mistake it for skill. Maximizing your team's effectiveness through your actions is what makes a real Gold player.

Bragging about your singular score indicates you're playing one character. You should be out there playing to the strengths and weaknesses of four characters.
