So I just finished the game (with EMS>4000), and since it lets you revisit the final choice, I was wondering if, by the time the Extended Ending comes out and my Galactic Readiness likely drops back down to 50%, will it affect the available endings?
OR
Does the actual level vary depending on whatever EMS you have BEFORE you enter the crucible, therefore preserving the endings I earned in the Autosave, regardless of whatever EMS I have when I reload it?
The IGN Wiki entry on the matter seems to support the latter:
Note: To view multiple endings based on the "final choice," you will be allowed to restart the last stretch of the final level after watching an ending. However, if you play multiplayer or the iOS game Mass Effect Infiltrator to boost your Effective Military Strength rating to access additional endings, you will need to restart from the final attack on the enemy base for your boosted score to take effect.
Which makes sense, since at lower EMS scores, the available choices are limited to one or two, which means you likely access entirely separate builds of the Crucible level. Still, I just want to cover all my bases before I put ME3 down first and do other things besides having to grind out Readiness ratings in multiplayer over the next month or so.
Granted, Bioware hasn't clarified if the extension takes place right at the same point you finish the game; we might have to access a whole different section of the game for it, but all the same, I’d REALLY appreciate any input on this. The Bioware forums are thankfully some of the most constructive/helpful ones, and I just really need some light shed on this.
