Seriously, though. She usually likes it when you do the most practical or unnecessarily cruel thing possible. If someone gets hurt, all the better for her. But at the same time she doesn't like leaving people chained up for some reason.

With Morrigan her approval is a tricky thing...certain people she will want to free while others she would rather leave to die.
Oh, she approves of power.

It's not about evil. It's about being logical. If you're in a rush, then yeah, she's going to get peeved if you take a side trip to handle some trivial matter (trivial, anyways, when compared to the blight). She also has a soft spot for those ostracized for being individuals instead of sheep, blindly baaahing in line as they follow the Judas goat to slaughter. Not to mention shiny things. I think she's part crow.
Actually, she whines no matter what, and has no concept of long term planning. She doesn't get that you need allies, approves of getting little girls possessed by desire demons while not willing to be possessed herself, hates the Circle Mages for being sheep because she has been taught to think that way by her mother like a good little sheep (and it's her mother that was the only thing that stopped her from becoming a Circle Mage herself), and then gets all upset when she finds out she is just being used too. You're right, it's not about being evil, it's about being stupid evil.

I get the feeling that the DLC team set their approval rating by following a D&D alignment system to make things simple.

Its all about power and schemes or acts that will result in an increase in your power...
She is also insecure about her beauty so she likes jewelry
You get her approval up very fast that way

Think of: what happens with Flemeth and a possible outcome to the circle of magi if you side with Templars will make her verrrrrrrry happy.

It's not hard to imagine why when Morrigan won't become slavishly dedicated to a PC who is her total focus and reason for living.vilnii wrote...

Let's face it, most RPG romances are about making an NPC your ****toy, there's really not much romantic about it since it's completely a one-way street. Morrigan's romance in that regard is unconventional. Leliana on the other hand is totally willing to be the braindead ****toy so people love her.

Great generalisation of people in order to make anyone who doesn't agree with you on how awesome Morrigan is appear like some chauvinistic goit. It's got nothing to do with her not becoming 'slavishly dedicated' to our characters, but that some of us just genuinely don't like her as a person.
I like strong women, I even wonder why there is no warrior-women in DA:O (at least no joinable NPCs), yet I don't like Morrigan, why? Because she is a downright nasty person in my eyes, and the one time I romanced her I ended it because I just could not stand her. She does not epitomise independant women, on the contrary she is an insult to independant women, in my mind. Yet, according to you I must be some sort of chauvinistic pig right?

The guy has probably never even touched a woman that didn't recoil in horror, cut him some slack.

Morrigan flirted with Sten right in front of my character. And even when Sten mentioned her relationship with "the Gray Warden" she proceeded. Sten can have that dried up old hag, I want Flemeth to steal her disease riddled body.FlintlockJazz wrote...

Not getting the connection, all the romances are unrealistic and creepy no matter who you romance, whether it be Morrigan, Leliana or Zevvy.
