@LolaLei : Where have you been hiding these,Lola? They are just...absolutely breathtaking:wub:<3

I especially loved the white castle (last picture in your first post) and the whole second batch!
These just blew my socks off....oops,and now I am just looking silly, scrambling under the desk to find them.
All because of you:lol:
In all honesty..they are beautiful (no,not the socks).
Keep them coming:wizard:

I dunno, I just type in random things I'd like to see in the game and they appear LOL! I'll find some more for you, maybe I can find some interiors and festivals.

I miss Lake Calenhad. You know, the tiny little area with the Spoiled Princess and Kester. I don't want to go back there, obviously, but I miss places like that. Hmm, since my second favorite outdoor area is the Frostback Mountains, maybe I just like the ability to be outside at night.

Day/Night levels are a pain in the backside and have been since the days of Baldur's Gate. You pretty much have to create the same level twice and come up with a way to transition between them while preserving party formation, etc. But the night time areas are pretty. It's a shame to lose them.

I doubt either of my suggestions will be in Dragon Age III, but I'll still post them. The Black City and Weisshaupt. But, for more likely or realistic suggestions, Maybe some of the regions that haven't been discovered yet. I'd like to see a country that would resemble an Asian country or Middle Eastern.

Antiva, the land of the crows and Zevran.

How will it look like? This is what Wiki has to say about it:

The country enjoys a warm north-eastern climate. Much of Antiva is coastline, thus facilitating their seafaring nature. Five of their major cities are port cities, including the Antivan capital, Antiva City.

North eastern? As in Turkey, Jordan, Saudi Arabia?
But there are also swamps and the Arlathan forest. A lot of diversity. This would mean deserts, rocks, swamps and forests.

This is how the dryer parts could look like:

coastlines like this.......

Dry and greenish coastlines like the ones here Image IPB

http://t2.gstatic.co...WSQcooQCoU_Xbw  http://t1.gstatic.co...MhP-OuvAA crows base? Image IPB

I like this!  I definitely see Antiva with lots of water everywhere, and tightly packed buildings.  And I like the inspiration for a possible Crow base.  The last image looks secluded, which would be perfect :)

Ok, found some more:

Maybe a cinematic with this kind of atmosphere of our protagonist 'n' co sailing towards Orlais:

Image IPB

Old Elven ruins maybe:

Image IPB

Image IPB

Perhaps something like this could be part of Sandal's prophecy about the old magic coming back etc:

Image IPB

Some sort of ancient underground tomb? Or magical area from which a great evil is released... or something:

Image IPB

And finally grand halls and Orlesian balls!:

@LolaLei : I am looking forward to those interiors and festivals.Interior festivals,even:P

@berelinde : we just happen to have the same favourite environs in DAO then;)
Oh yes,Lake Calenhad...they really pulled off the "Place of Magic" atmosphere there, didn`t they?
I remember when I first arrived there,I just let the party stand there for what seemed like hours, just to watch that scene, and listen to the music there. That was fabulous.
The Frostback Mts were wonderful, too - I always enjoyed snow-covered scenery, and wished there were more of them.
Perhaps that is one of the reasons why I loved Soldier`s Peak:)

Dunquixote : Hopefully, with Rivain apparently sharing similarities with the Middle East,we will see some such inspired architecture / terrain.

@WardenWade : spjelkessjpeler really hit the nail on the head with those, did she not?

@LolaLei : Oooo...those are fabulous!  <3
Although I hope we are not going to sail straight towards a waterfall with our merry band of misfits:)))
The elven ruins plus the photo underneath are so very pretty!
And the ballroom - I know you love your masquerade balls...as do I  :o - and that hall with all those inviting chandeliers would be so perfect:) Imagine Sandal swinging up there...
Lovely masks on the last pic - I would wear those in a heartbeat, but not the dress.I had the misfortune to dance in one of those once, and they are just so cumbersome  But I agree, they do look Orlesian:)

I'd love for there to be a giant impressive lake we can visit. What DA2 lacked was the impressive atmospheric environments.

Anyway, here are some lake ideas for DA3 (with an extra big moon thrown in for good measure!):

@LolaLei you are blowing my mind with those pictures Image IPB.

Soooooooo pretty Image IPB. The moon has something magical and mystical. Great fit in a cinematic that involves a circle tower at night........................

The more fantastic pictures you posted wouldn't be bad as a basis for a thorough redesign of the Fade - a place more fantastic than the 'real world' of Thedas, rather than a pale and inferior reflection of it;).

I hope they introduce different creatures to any new areas or any area in general. If they pick Orlais, I'd hope they include horses. I would love to have some a cat equivalent to a mabari, as well as cat shapeshifting form and hunter pet. Since there's dragons, I would love to see other types of mythical creatures in the game too.

The fade should be as fantastical as it sounds, but I think the appearance of the fade should change and vary based on each person. So say we visited the fade to rescue someone (like Connor in DA:O) it would look completely different compared to when we rescue Feynriel who is terrified of the Demons so his version of the fade would be dark and twisted.

Maybe a good example of this would be that movie starring Jenifer Lopez called "The Cell." During which she had to go inside the mind of a little boy who was in a coma, the world he was trapped in was inside his mind and based on the memories, ideas and fears he had. Later she has to go into the mind of a serial killer who is also trapped in a coma, his world was completely different, taking a seriously dark and twisted route due to his memories, fears and sexual desires etc. That's what the fade should be like.

I'd like a griffon, that would be cool. Maybe we could find it as a baby or something... then again, that might be a little bit too Final Fantasy-ish.

Well, here are my suggestions from which to drawn inspiration for Rivain:

'The towers of Rivain':

(Mudejar style of Spain, but...not too recognisably cliché Middle Eastern)

(now think of fortress walls with this style of decorations, and these towers, large and small, rising from them)

Gates:

Image IPB

(needs coloured bricks, though)

Image IPB

It's not the Denerim royal palace, but it'll do ^_^:

Image IPB

Creative with bricks; no Rivaini mansion or public building should be without it :o

Image IPB

(perfectly acceptable as decoration of the city, castle and palace gates, too...:innocent:)
