As to the White Spire, it sounds so imposing in Asunder
As you and LolaLei touched on, I too am really looking forward to more
about it...it should be a truly breathtaking structure you can't help
but notice.  I hope we can explore inside it as we did in Ferelden.  The
skyscraper image you found is just beautiful, and fits the description
perfectly
!

It does?    :o    Wow...considering I haven`t even read Asunder. Perhaps I should remedy that....
Glad you liked it.I`m happy when WardenWade is happy. :)

Thank you for the kind words! :)  I like it very much!  And I'm so sorry...this reply is terribly late :pinched:  I think Asunder is an interesting read, undoubtedly important to the expanding overall lore of the games, and definitely has a lot of useful environmental and location descriptions you'd find interesting.  The approach to the fortress of Adamant, the villages of Orlais, the White Spire and Grand Cathedral interiors, and so on...  If you try it I think you'll like it :)  And with the Spire described in the novel as jutting (almost) spear-like into the sky, the image is perfect...and very beautiful on its own.

Tevinter Empirium,

I would love to see it in an 18th century gothic architectural style, complete with dark (black brick?) buildings, a lot of stained glass, flying buttresses, and gargoyles.... can't go wrong with gargoyles.

These are excellent!  I think gargoyles and evocative carvings and statues would be a must in a place with as much history as Tevinter.  They appear to have statues of old gods, for example, and gargoyles would fit that tone very well!

Below are some other possible examples of gargoyles and gargoyle imagery that might fit in as well with the unsettling theme they could give the cities of the Imperium?  The images you found were inspiring, sjpelkessjpeler! :)

Image IPB
The above reminded me a bit of darkspawn faces, genlocks and shrieks in particular.  By artist Miles Thompson, they are from http://www.lithops.net/Gargoyles.htm.

The below are actually not gargoyles or even always unsettling imagery, but are from the lovely Cathedral at St. John the Divine.  The stylized look of the figures reminds me of the "storybook" cutscenes in the DA games, however...  These images are from http://theweblicist....the-main-door/.

These first two pictures...perhaps the images of magisters of the past?

Image IPB

Image IPB

Below...an image of the fall of Arlathan, perhaps?

Image IPB

And below, perhaps the destruction of the Black City?

EDIT:  I apologize, it is probably more likely the destruction of the Golden City...

Thank you for the kind words, Blossom!! :)  For what it's worth, I realize I should have said, for the last picture, the destruction (more or less) of the "Golden City" rather than the Black City.  I apologize for the mistype there :)

Proud to be a Puff as well! :)

Interiors that look like something besides corrugated cardboard or generic palaces. I like how each of the tavern interiors posted above is different. Buildings within a specific geographic region will share certain design elements, i.e. "elven" interiors, Fereldan castle interiors, Orlesian castle interiors, dwarven architecture, but they shouldn't all look identical.

Anne StokesImage IPB, I have some posters of her, really, really beautiful art

Orlais alone should be able go give us plenty of beautifull places
The mountain range in the west, the Dales in the south-east and Lake Celestine more to the north
Val Royeux itself didn't interst me that much from the earlier descriptions but after Dawn of the Seeker I like it much more. If they don't change to much it might be like how Quart looks in A Game of Thrones, in the middle of nowhere but at the coast.

I would love to see a city closed in by mountains, a bit like Markarth in Skyrim or Adessa in Amalur

Hmmm,speaking of pub crawls.....:P

I would kindly ask the DA3 team to be so generous and animate the following, for greater immersion.
It is worth every cost.

Wow, those all look amazing. I would really like to see a desert environment, or a Frozen City in an arctic like-climate. I am curious as to what the Imperium or Orlais actually look like. There is a really nice Cathedral in my hometown and I wonder if the Cathedrals shown in the next Dragon Age game will be like that?
