Would you buy? If so why? If not, why? Also for those who said no, what would it take for you to buy a DA3 CE.

I'll buy DA3 but I won't splurge the 80+ bucks for the CE, I wouldn't do that for any game though.

If I have enough money and like what I see in the edition I'll get it. It would be the first time I spent extra for game though.

Extremely unlikely. Apart from the general mistrust, I don't like paid for advantages. Same reason why I made no use of the in-box DLC.

I cannot think of something that would make me buy it. I suppose it would have to be something physical outside of the game. But I also have no interest in doodads or collectables. I cannot think of anything they could offer that would make me buy a CE.

At the moment, with barely any information about the hypothetical game, I'd probably buy pre-owned.

Depends on what's in it, how much it is, and whether or not they set another stupid arbitrary deadline I can't make. I wouldn't dismiss it yet though.

Company for my Malgus statue would be nice...

Not this time.

Wont pre order it either. Thats not to say i wont buy DA3 but Bioware have lost any right to get blind trust spending from me any more.

I dont appreciate being lied to (yes Mr Hudson, Mr Gamble and Mr Walters im looking directly at you)

Frankly this company has a lot of work to do to regain my trust.

An actual statue in the box?

I would actually like to see more than 2 (ok 3 in DAO) of them in the actual game Image IPB

I plan on buying it, as I did with DA II and ME 3. Unless it's too expensive.

I prefer to buy such things separately.

I might, if the reviews were good. However it would be my first CE ever, I normally don't buy them.

It'd need an art book + CD soundtrack before I'd buy a collectors edition - not downloadable stuff.
Plus some kind of figurine or statue would be nice.

Not a chance. I won't preorder either. The game quality that EA has been putting out over the past two years has been shoddy and incomplete. When they start making high quality games, I'll start laying out the cash.

I hope it's under $80, but yes.

And it better not just be a crappy map printed on freaking table linen. NO MORE "CLOTH" MAPS.

Unless Bioware does take some lessons from CD-Projekt Red regarding what EA likes to call a "collector´s edition", eh no. Signature edition was a joke.

The Signature Edition of DA II cost no extra money. What did you expect?

The Collector's Edition of ME 3 had an artbook, a patch, a lithograph, and codes for the From Ashes DLC and the game soundtrack. It also came in a metal case. Seems about right.

I normally don't buy Collector's Editions because most of the extras are just DLC, and without an online connection to my console, that's useless to me. I don't care for pre-ordering either.

Now, this I would get a Collector's Edition for.

To be fair, the Collector's Edition of Origins was just as anemic, no?

We got a tin (its tin is actually better than ME3's, though), a bonus disc with a dancing ogre, and some extra unlockables (and the map, MY GOD, THE MAP). (Was there anything else? I forget.)

At least with DA2 they had the courage to just do nothing instead of printing mapkins.

I'm confused. What's the point of the link?

ETA: Oh yes. Naked Anders statue would make me buy the CE, hard copy and all. Twice. :P
