Constructing polls with completely garbage answers is one of the main reasons why internet polls are worthless (the other being self selection bias).

I don't mind that Emily Wong died on twitter, but it should not have been *only* on twitter. She should have also been a news item, spy terminal blurb, or something in game.

I don't mind that Allers is in the game, though they didn't do a very good job with the role. Wong in that role would have been nearly as pointless given the implementation.

As for Tali, most of their characters are based on real people, so I'm not sure why its worse in Tali's case than in all the others.

True story:

I met Jessica Chobot in January. She was very nice to speak with. Was kinda cool to hear about her involvement in Mass Effect 3. I felt awkward even trying to "romance" her. It definitely was not a great voice acting performance comparatively speaking. But it was still cool to see her in the game.

I liked Emily Wong just fine, but I did not understand the wanting of her to be on the Normandy. She usually only focused on Citadel reporting?

Wow, that's incredibly lame at Emily Wong. So much for the exclusive interview her that she always wanted...

What did they say on Twitter...I missed it.

Didn't see what happened on Twitter, but it sounds like they just mocked-up a "vote" so they could justify putting Chobot in to the fans.

It's just insulting, Allers shouldn't be in the game...

Generally speaking I thought the whole Twitter death in the lead up to ME3 was terrible.

It was just a Twitter post, totally weak. Had it been in the game or something, that would have been better. Especially since time and effort was devoted to Chobot and her 'RetartedSpace' or whatever.

I do believe that priority should be given to existing characters, not creating new ones for the sole purpose of having no purpose what soever.

Every time anyone makes an online poll, there is always that one person who comes around to tell you with quite a large helping of arrogance, how much your poll sucks, except usually they do so veiling their personal issues with a valid reason like bias or something, you really go for the gold and just straight out call the poll garbage while giving no pretense of a valid reason.

Bravo. Really.

There are 3 serious options, one for "I liked it" one for "I don't care" and another for "I didn't like it". Then there are two options for people that want to say what they feel but having more fun with it, hence the feeding of Reapers or marriage of bloated chipmunk psp lickers.

I really don't know what your problem is, but if you are so bothered by an internet poll about a videogame on a forum for the game, then I suggest you find a way to pass your time doing something you will enjoy more....

Everyone's having fun discussing the topic, something that even you do after unilaterally bashing the poll in your post, how about we just keep passing the time expressing our ideas and thoughts in a friendly manner without just categorically bashing things?;)

You equate loving Allers with being glad they killed off Wong on Twitter. As if someone can't like Allers and be sad they killed off Wong on Twitter, or thought the Twitter thing was fine yet still hate Allers. It's either/or with you, and that's really what makes this poll trash.

I thought the Wong dying on Twitter was fine, I was reading it the night before launch, and it made me want to kill some mother****ing Reapers in their faces. When I blew up that bastard on Rannoch, I yelled "FOR EMILY YOU SON OF A ****!" at my tv screen. It made me feel as though the invasion was actually happening. But... there's no option for that in your poll. My only choice is to say that I love Allers and vote in your condescending top option.

You want people to take polls seriously? Make serious polls. Don't make someone feel like crap because they like something you don't.

This? Right here? This is my care face.

It's, what, 5 assets? Somehow, some way, you'll survive. Or if not... I still don't care.

Oh look, another one...

Dude...it's a VIDEOGAME poll. There are OBVIOUS options to express whether you LIKED, DISLIKED, or DIDN'T CARE.

You don't have to dissect the poll word for word and treat it like some sort of super serious Gallup poll for the next President of the United States...holy hell:?

There are obvious options to let people express how they feel about Chobot/Allers and all that she implies. Get OVER it if the majority of people disagree with you, good grief.

you two need to relax ...;)

Seriously, it's been almost two months. Instead of continuing to hash out this same stuff 1,000 times a day, why not come up with some constructive, realistic ideas for the extended cut or beyond? Or maybe just move on to something you actually enjoy?

This isn't just directed at you Bianco, just in general.

So, because it's a video game poll, it's immune to criticism for being woefully inaccurate and biased? But, when people tell you that ME3 is JUST a video game, and to get over it... that's, somehow, the most hypocritical thing that's ever been said?

This isn't about letting people express how they feel about Allers, this is a way for you to make another poll that's completely and utterly flawed, then use it as evidence that "see, everybody hates BioWare now, not just Retakers!"

It's pathetic, and utterly transparent, and you will be called out on it.

Yes, continue to hurl insults, that will make your point realy hit home<_<. You can twist my words any way you like, but you made an entire answer post by focusing on ONE sentence of what I answered you with. Your post blatantly shows your true colors as you accuse me and the poll of somehow having an agenda to make everyone hate Bioware or say that they do, when in fact I never said anything of the like and made the poll to actually tell Bioware how we feel in the hopes of them avoiding embarassing mistakes like this in the future. But you would have known that if you had read the original post.

If you continue to say nothing more than insults and be rude, this will be the last time I answer your posts.:)

Sorta like how all the ideas that were thought of on the forum showed up in the game right? Bioware cut so many corners even WITH a delay on the game and still couldn't polish the game...heck this game has more problems than Mass Effect 1! I have literally had  multiple cut scenese where a squad member should have been on screen yet I saw no one and when I talk to Ashley after her ordeal her dang eyes roll backwards and all you see is the whites in her eyes!

All this just to throw in multiplayer that will be dead in a few months just like Dead Spaces.

That was  ... appalling? This is the best example for absolute lack of artistic integrity: they put in some journalist and obviously not for her talent at voice acting. So the only other reason for having her in the game would be to suck up to ign.

I quite like the Diana Allers character to be honest but I do agree that Emily Wong should not have been killed off via Twitter.

Companies seem to forget that not everyone uses the popular social networking sites.

As a compromise for saddling us with Allers, they should give her Elcor subtitles to explain the emotion we're supposed to be hearing. (and where is the "punch reporter" option?)

Tali's lame photoshop is indefensibly terrible
, I'm not a Talimancer myself but the way it was handled is still disgustingly insulting.

Emily Wong, lame way to go no question about that.

At least lots of people are unaware of the whole Twitter madness part of ME3, ignorance is bliss.

It was the most transparent attempt to buy a review I've ever seen, and this is essentially buying a review. It shows how very badly managed EA is at this point.

Then Tali's face shows up in a photoshopped google picture that doesn't even make sense because Quarians can't survive without their suits on any planet, even if you end their plot in the game the "good" way. It'll take hundreds of years to take a picture of Tali like that,

Sorry, but this bothered me. This is incorrect. It's clearly stated in the game that Quarians will be able to go without their masks and suits in a few years; maybe a little bit longer if you don't pass the reputation check and can't achieve peace between the Quarians and Geth, because the Geth help speed up the acclimitization/immunization process. Even still Tali is able to take off her mask at the end of the Rannoch mission for a few minutes, probably because Rannoch's atmosphere is more amenable to Quarian immune systems. So it's totally possible for her to have taken the photo (it'd only take a few minutes) ... even if the job they did on the photo sucked (and not showing us Tali's face when she took the mask off OR Quarian faces during the hologrammatic memories in the Geth consensus mission was cheap).

As for Emily Wong: if you followed the storyline on Twitter live, as it happened, it was incredibly well written, gripping, and emotionally effective (and it was written, I believe, by the wonderful Jessica Merizen). That said it later occured to me that most likely Allers' position on the ship was meant to be Emily's, and she got bumped out of the game because of Allers, which made me sad.

I'm glad they were able to do something exciting with Emily, but Allers sucks. I wish she didn't exist.
