The point of my off-topic-ness earlier was to point out that N7 Challenge weekends get flooded with people that play gold (geth farm) but still can't do anything helpful once the challenge starts. It's typically not a lack of skill, but a lack of "give a damn". Most of them don't want to get better when they can just farm geth and get almost every unlock/CE-weapon without trying. Technically a Salarian Engineer and any Infiltrator can duo the geth on firebase white without much effort.
I play gold exclusively unless I'm leveling a class from 1. I do it for the challenge, because I enjoy not-rofl-stomping everything instantly, or near-instantly. I feel as though I actually have to fight to survive gold some times, and I love that. I just get annoyed by how bad geth-farmers actually are when not fighting a specific foe on a specific map, that's all.
. No matter what map you are on you need some kind of game plan, and everytime I've played other stages the game plan included everyone running around the map dying a lot-while a sound stragey for losing, I found it lacking for anything else. I think if I knew other people that owned the game that I talked to on a regular basises and could form reliable teams I'd be right there with ya playing all the stages...however I have to make the most of what I have to deal with.

One of the main reasons I play MP is for these weekend events. Being nowhere near ready for gold (still completing silvers consistently), it made me sad to see them make the commendation pack tied into completing a gold mission.
That said, even if I did manage to complete one gold run, I'd probably still end up getting a useless hurricane upgrade like I did for the previous 2.

Because even fewer people know how to translate GMT to their own timezone than know what PST stands for and considering most of the people who post here are probably in North America, GMT is useless to most of us.

You can keep your GMT over there with "the rest of the civilized world" for all I care. When the game is developed, stationed in and majority of players are from Europe I'll be more than happy to go off that. Till then, we'll just keep doing things the snobby North American way.
