For God's sake, quit the whining. This MP issue is because of Sony policy, and there is little Bioware can do about it. Accept it, buy an Xbox 360 or get on the Sony forums and see what they're going to do about it.
It is easy to side with BioWare, but they are to blame for not testing their goods. They sold us PS3 owners a defective product, and don't care.

I would say NOT being able to play is a drop in quality.

* I re-read the opening post from CP and realized I can participate. My apologies for my rant.
Allied Goal: Kill 1,000,000 Cerberus Phantoms
Squad Goal: Survive until extraction on any map and any enemy on Gold difficulty.
Successful completion of the Allied Goal will grant all players a Victory Pack.
Successful completion of the squad goal awards a Commendation Pack to all squadmates.

I know BioWare blames Sony, but these issues should of been caught in QA testing, and a disclaimer given about the downfalls of the PS3 version. They were not, making BioWare and EA guilty in false advertising, and thus liable for any action taking/ complaints against them.

+1
Sony can definitely track stuff, it's just that Bioware is unable to figure out how to do it.

Do you have any proof of this other than conjecture on the forums? All I have seen was BioWare stating that they were "working with Sony" without actually stating what they needed to work on.
Additionally, Sony didn't release a half-finished product that wasn't compatible with a system...at least not in this case. It's EAware who is responsible for creating and finishing their product. If the PS3 game was not complete (events not available) they should have said so and maybe let some of us get the game for PC instead. Just emailed Game stop about exchanging for a 'working' version of the game.

Your understanding of how events happen on xbox live, origin and the PSN seems to be lacking.
Also your sense of entitlement is seriously missplaced.
Jumping from "multiplayer events not available" to "game not complete" is a gross exaggeration at best. If you want to argue legalese please educate yourselve first. Promotional events (which is what these are), are a service offered to a customer, not a right.
I am sorry for you that you cannot take part in these (or rather I must pretend I am, even if I couldn't care less about these events and have no clue why someone does), but the ignorance spouted by Sony fans in these threads has become tiresome 4 weeks ago.
Patches and events have ALWAYS been a problem on the Ps3, you cannot honestly expect me to believe you have never noticed that?

Sounds like fun but I personally wont be participating until someone acknowledges all the failed purchases that everyone seems to not be getting assistance with. I mean whats the point of playing a few gold matches then when the big day comes and you go to get your victory pack you get a failed purchase then get nothing. Or even just lose out on hard earned credits or even bioware points (actual money) and for the curious
http://social.biowar...ndex/10047618/1
Here's something to read so the pc users can be at least aware of whats happening to players out there. I guess I'll end with this, 46 pages deep and no comment from bioware on this problem, it truly is a shame and to those who will participate( on the pc side) I wish you luck in that you do get your victory packs and no failed purchases because it would suck to do all those gold matches and get nothing in return.
Yeah i have participated in 3 events and got nothing yet.... good luck... you guys can have it. They should test things before they do them........................... but that would make to much sense!

Wow - I just posted, but after reading what Mr. Silverman said, I'm rather a little more ticked now - Having said that, shouldn't everything have been prepared before launch about these events? This is a total load of crap man. I've had the game for over a month, paid the same as the PC + 360 players (so did every other PS3 owner) thinking I was buying the same game they were - and yet we're screwed yet again. This time with no mention. Last thing I saw from bioware was that "they couldn't extend the same contests to the PS3 as on the 360/PC" - FINE, give us DIFFERENT contests/competitions!!!!
Please acknowledge us bioware, you and sony should have worked this out for now. And 360 owners, quit telling us to stop complaining. I don't have a 360, I have a PS3. If i had the money, I'd have both. However, at the time ME3 came out, I had a PS3 - so I bought the PS3 CE, if i had a 360, I'd have bought the 360 CE - now, however, the CE is no longer available. Had I known PS3 owners were going to miss out on these competitions, I would have never bought the CE for PS3 - just the regular edition, and the CE for 360, for when I could afford one. How would you guys feel if it was just PC owners that were getting the competitions? Or vice versa with the PC/360 - I bet the party missing out would be complaining right along with us.

Well since this is a court room I see where you're coming from. I would definitely not consider myself a "FAN" of Sony, I just happen to own a PS3. This is my 4th game on this system (Red Dead Redemption, Heavy Rain, Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3) so I've never seen any problems before, at least nothing that affected me wanting to play. Maybe there have been these horrible problems with those other 3 games, but maybe since there was no big publicity over a bunch of stupid things done when they came out I just never bothered to read up on them. ...though RDR did make my old PS3 burn out....but BestBuy replaced it so it didn't really bother me. =D
You're definitely right that the statement may be an exaggeration, still the complaint is that PS3 users were sold what was supposed to be the same product/experience as all other users. This is not what PS3 users received, instead half-@**ed excuses about Sony being at fault. No, whoever created the incompatible product is at fault, even if Sony has just decided to be total a-holes, the one at fault is whoever created the game and instead of telling consumers, "by the way if you get this one version its gonna be even more fail than the other two versions" happily took our money and then gave us the finger.
Last of all if you don't care anything for these events, it seems weird that you would be here on the EVENT thread to be a lil female dog. Maybe its just you need attention, maybe its just you like to troll (wait are those the same thing) or maybe you're just so smart you got lost in a forum?

Really wish ps3 people would quit complaining thats what you get for starting a trilogy on a system that lacks the first game
Well I started the trilogy on XBOX, but then that console went to console heaven...or
You know what I find strange though, I don't want XBOX or PC events to be cancelled just because I can't participate in them. I don't go to the PC or XBOX support areas and female dog at those communities about how much they suck. But it seems that Bill Gateshole kissers go out of their way to attack the PS3 community. Yea we're upset, we're in a crappy situation. We're not asking anything to be taken from the rest of you guys, we just want the same experience. Is that wrong? This seems like a strange phenomenon. Is this always the case with PS3 users? I mean in other games.

Im just saying the ps3 users should count their blessings that they even have the mass effect games
Though I do agree with that to some extent, its not like we were given the game at a discount, not half off or even 10% less than what everyone else got it at. I mean remember that ME3 was an XBOX exclusive, so PC users should also count their blessing that they got ME3 AND a port of ME1.
Again, its not to say that I wish they hadn't gotten that, or that they don't deserve it or whatever. All I'm saying is I spent my hard-earned money on a product which I expected to be on par with what everyone else got. Imagine if half of the XBOX users were able to participate and the other half wasn't. They all paid the same amount, they all expected the same experience but for whatever reason they didn't get it. Maybe life isn't fair, and this crappy experience is something we have to live with, but it doesn't mean we have to like it.

Point is, stop complaining about BioWare only. Be fair and complain to both. We can speculate all we like, but the truth is that none of us knows what's really happening. Blaming one party is counterproductive. What are you going to do if Sony is at fault? Defend them and continue to insult BioWare? It sure won't help your case.
