If none of you PS3 owners have noticed, developing and programming for the PS3 is a major PITA. Even Sony themselves admitted it. What's worse, the infrastructure for their online community is absolute junk and the massive hacking incident is evidence of that. Doing these kind of MP promotional events is probably new for Sony (if not, feel free to correct me) and they may/may not have a ton of BS you have to wade through.

Point is, stop complaining about BioWare only. Be fair and complain to both. We can speculate all we like, but the truth is that none of us knows what's really happening. Blaming one party is counterproductive. What are you going to do if Sony is at fault? Defend them and continue to insult BioWare? It sure won't help your case.

I don't know about everyone else with a PS3, but what really bugs me is not who's to blame at this moment. Yea I blame Sony for having a ****ty network and design or whatever, but here's the thing EA/Bioware released a game, which they must have known was not compatible/allowed with the network (as far as the events.) It is not Sony's responsibility to make consumers aware of this, even if its 100% Sony's fault, BW/EA should have made us aware that something was up and warned us. At least that way some of us would have maybe bought a different version, or held off on getting the game or whatever. Instead, yet again they drop the ball.

Even worse, instead of telling us, such and such is to blame they just stay quiet. I can only speak for  myself but if they told me,

"Okay, this is Johnny Johnson and HE was supposed to negotiate with Sony about getting the events happening, but he went on vacations and you guys won't be able to participate in events until June. Also, now he's fired."

Well shoot at least I'd know someone was responsible and that BW/EA was taking our concerns and complaints seriously. As it stands I feel they're acting like "yea yea shut up, we'll deal with it, maybe. " Even the disclaimer of "we're working with Sony to resolve this" is gone from the event announcement.

Perhaps you're right JP, perhaps its just a matter of not being jerks and margianilizing a section (albeit small) of their community.

i still would have bought he game even if they had told us that PS3 users cant take part. What annoys me is we were not informed before release that multiplayer weekends would be unavailable and instead all we got was a promise saying every platforms version would be the same, with the same experience's.

And to all the people who are saying 'you should have got it for XBOX' not everyone can afford both console's; i am fortunate to have both but I got it for PS3 because I dont have XBOX Live so PS3 was my only option for multiplayer.

360 owners, please stop yelling at PS3 owners because we purchased the superior system. That's not an opinion, it's a fact. The PS3's hardware is better than the 360's. You don't have to pay to play online and most games come on one disc. Oh and Blu-Ray.

People who are saying it's Sony's fault apparently have never seen BF3 because Battlelog can track the data from the PS3 as well as from the 360 and Origin. So if DICE can do it, why can't BioWare? I would like to enjoy the product I paid $88 for, the same as everyone else.

As i recall BF3 is marketed as an all out multiplayer , it wouldnt make sense
if it didnt work. The sp is ****. Mass effect, from 2007 till now, we've been playing for the immence epic storyline, so excuse me if the multiplayer events don't work for you, be glad you can play multiplayer
at all.

i personally play multiplayer only until Bioware fixes the ending. if i get the play the events, heck why not. its just a bonus to me.
i'm still on priority:rannoch.

Do you have any proof of this other than conjecture on the forums? All I have seen was BioWare stating that they were "working with Sony" without actually stating what they needed to work on.

bioware called out sony publicly its on the game informer website or some website cant remeber so yes its sony fault and they answered they are trying to work with them so there you proof now go be a good troll and find something else to troll about

go check the website where sony gets called out there polcy forbids it since dice is produces there game as well so  thats why they can and why  bioware cant

LOL really you think that, then  come back when you framrrate dips below 13 fps like every ps3 does and oh yeah about those tear and  the slow animations  be glad you even got a wiff of masseffect at all.. xbox is the superior and just wait for  the 720  sony going to be killed again in the usa and blu ray is going to be on the 720 so whats the diff you get to watch movies with no real differnce froma hd tv nada
