Sorry, could you repeat that? I couldn't hear you over the sound of millions of credit card details being stolen.
There would be no issue if EA/Bioware/Sony INFORMED PS3 users prior to purchase that there would be no inclusion into ongoing multiplayer events or reward packs. Since PS3 users were sold ME3 on the premise that they were buying the same FUNCTIONAL experience as other platforms, they have sold the product under false pretenses. That's the issue.
People actually bought ME3 for the MP? Seriously? MP did not exist until ME3, yet you claim this was a deciding factor for PS3 owners? Then you're playing the wrong game obviously.
And to the person saying the PS3 is a better system....better hardware does not mean it's a better system.

As far as MP being a big factor in me getting it for PS3, this is not the case. I have a reasonably good PC which I could play on if I want to be sitting down at my desk with an okay screen (for a pc.) I'm much more comfortable on the couch with my PS3 connected to the tv.
Now even though MP is not a big deal I do want to enjoy all the aspects of MP, this includes weekend events/challenges. If I had to choose between SP and MP, of course I'd want the best SP experience and screw MP, but that's not the case here. Everyone else is getting a full experience for what they paid and that's alright, I just want the same thing.
IF I'd been warned that getting it for PS3 would not give me the same experience then I would have been given the opportunity to decide, "Would I rather be comfortable on my couch and have no events, or play on a smaller screen but have all events." Honestly I think I would have opted for the PC, but instead they

Honestly, the events aren't all that special anyway. The multiplayer is fun in short bursts, but not the long run. These events are "BONUSES" to the multiplayer. You already have the full experience on your disc, the only thing you're missing out on are these special events. Which none of us paid for, they are free.AcesRedd wrote...

I can handle killing phantoms, but the best I ever did was reach wave 10 in silver (a feat only achieved ONCE), and I used all the medigel I had in the process... :/
Gold is not an option for me...
the thing about gold is it entirely depends on the people on the squad. My first gold match, one guy left as soon as he saw it was the communications hub map, and then the other two were infiltrators and kept running around doing whatever they wanted to and getting themselves killed.
we lost by the end of the first wave.
But then, yesterday was the first time I've played gold since that match. I got a team that all took cover in the same area (very strategic area, too, it was on firebase white, down in that large room with the three L shaped cover things) and all we did was sit behind cover and pop up to hit our enemies every now and then. We won one game, and then the second one we played we died on wave 10 due to geth pyros spawning on top of me (I died) somebody tried to come revive me (he died) that left another guy fighting two primes alone (also died) and the last guy ran around and grabbed the little hacking things so we could at least get the credits before he died.
Maybe I Just got lucky, but if your team is being stupid running around, tell them to get the heck down with everybody else and stay behind cover or they'll lose.
There's definitely a difference between gold league and silver/bronze league players. Gold league is much more my style :3

Hmm...I don't know how hard gold is, but I always play on bronze. I don't think I'd be any good on that difficulty level. All I can say is, to the hardcore players, have a little patience with the not-so-good players during this event. We all want the rewards, this event calls for gold difficulty, not our decision.
Hope all goes well for this event. I feel bad for the PS3 users, sorry guys/gals.
Yeah I only just started playing gold yesterday, but i'm already used to it. It's really not that hard if you're smart about it.
my tip to you: Make sure you're using a level 20 character. Go as fast cooldown on powers as possible (human soldier with the mattock rifle is good, you can get like + 180 cooldown, then just spam concussive shot.)
If you really want to win, just go with geth on firebase white and make sure you have a team that is going to stay behind cover (together, in the same area) and not run around getting themselves killed. Play it smart and safe, don't do stupid things. :3 worked well for me.

I think it's good if you can only get the rare stuff rarely. I don't want to have already got everything in a fairly short time. The events being at weekends is more of a nuisance, I'm often away or busy all weekend (I've only been around to get one commendation pack so far) but weekday evenings are more often free. But hey, I suppose most people are more likely to have weekend time.Ubergrog wrote...
I really want a means of getting the N7 kit more reliably then once every fortnight. It's great that the weapons are so potent, it's disappointing that we have no feasible means of getting them leveled up in any reasonable time. It's going to be a minimum of 38 weeks until we all have the chance to get all of them up to X, more for those who will inevitably miss a weekend due to real life interfering. I severely doubt that EA will allow biweekly events to run for the majority of a year as well.

I understand we did get the "full experience" on the disk, but it is not the "full experience" that the rest (the majority) of the community is getting. The events might be "bonuses" but they are still something fun that is experienced by the community, I like MP and while I'm not obsessed with it, I really would like to participate. Though I do want the N7 weapons (as a completionist) I don't feel like I NEED rewards, I just want to PARTICIPATE. Its cool to be fighting Cerberus and the Reapers with my fellow gamers, its cool to have a goal that together we want to reach and its cool to be acknowledged as fans and as part of the global community that supports this game.
I may be wrong but I feel a lot of this content was planned and developed while the game was being made. The "FREE" content was something that was planned and in essence its in the cost of the game. Which is fine as most of the community gets to experience it, and while it may be important to some and not so for others we should all still have access to it.

Second For those of you saying it's an incomplete game without it your argument is invalide. These are special EVENTs that AREN'T part of the code on the disc or DLC therefore your argument is invalide. Thirdly everyone who actually pays attention to the industry knows Japanese VG companies are notoriously hard to work with and other developers have complained about the difficulties dealing with Sony and the PS3 source code (not to mention the fact that they don't even OWN the servers they use). Also don't you think your constant yammering is Actually slowing the process? If I was on the team working to get the events for PS 3 I'd be getting tired of hearing it and it would probably affect how hard I'd be trying to rectify it in a negative way. WRONG. Those who don't ask for things will certainly never get them. It may be wrong but the squeaky wheel does get the uh...attention? oil? I forgot how that goes. While you are right that we are getting the full experience on the game, we are not getting the full experience that the community as a whole is receiving. We understand we are a definte minority, and this makes the whole situation even more challening, we are told "we are being listened to" then ignored almost completely. Even the "We're still working with Sony to resolve this" disclaimer was removed from the last announcement.
Now we may have an unpopular japanese console, and sure that is our own fault. BUT at least for some of who also own a pc if we had been warned of this problem prior to release we could have made an informed decision. Now we understand that EAware wants to sell product, personally knowing this would not have stopped me from purchasing a game that I mostly loved, but it would have stopped me from getting it for the PS3. If BW had simply taken the time to tell us, then I would put 100% of the blame on Sony, as it is I feel someone dropped the ball and yet we've gotten nothing resembling even a sincere apology, real excuse or even told exactly who is to blame.
This is the same kind of attitude that EAware is presenting when it comes to their plotholes, their weak ending and general mistakes in PR with Mass Effect 3. Unfortunately for some reason while we can stand
