Because these competitions are olive branches(PR technique), nothing more. They will either cease doing them, or will automate entirely the process in a month or two.

EA sold 1.3 million copies of ME3 in March alone. I'd say the majority of people who paid that money to buy ME3 are still playing it. Speculate as you wish over who plays Gold, how many matches etc i'd say the odds are still good that Exorcist Operation was a success.

I'll also not miss the bottle on purpose for Garrus. Too much respect for him to do that.

in a perfect world you might have a point, but they really just want you on playing. the more people on playing the more people out there willing to buy packs etc...etc... the day people start missing the quotas is the day they either come up with a new idea to get people online, or they just stop doing the events altogether. im sure if the actual numbers were presented to us it might be a little dis-enchantening. they know how many people come on and im sure they come up with reasonable numbers so as long as everybody completed their goals the community goal will be met. so although we probably never will fail a challenge its safe to say if you want your prize you still have to go through the motions.

if your in the US they come out on tuesday late afternoon for everyone if it was completed and no one cheated or exploited the game in the universe somewere

Obviously these competitions are intended to keep people interested in multiplayer, but this whole idea that they are rigged reeks of conspiracy theorists. There are much better ways they could be spending their time than pretending they have a huge player base.

I agree with you they wouldn't do event for nothing. It's just like gears 3 has events them selves and what's the point of people posting  that bioware is just making it up on here anyways. Why do people find something bad to always say?

If we have faith for the sake of loving ME gameplay, and the community is actually having fun demolishing hordes of mutant Batarians... We still feel accomplished, we get our prizes for dealing with the newer players trying to rock a level 10 Drell Vanguard in our gold lobby, and Biowares diabolical plot has duped everyone... and harmed no one... They just found a good excuse to make things more interesting and interactive for us.

To sum it up... If they want to find an excuse to give me free stuff to play a game I'm a long time fan of... Touché[/i]  BW, you've exposed me as superficial, materialistic, and easily pleased >.> *cough* thank you

These events could be a lot better at keeping people interested if they made some changes. They should put a counter up to keep track of how the goal is going, people are more interested if they can see their progress. Put it next to the galaxy of war. Extra bonus could be given for doubling the goal(premium victory pack).

Also, victory packs need to be a better reward than just a glorified equipment pack. Why not make them something we can't get anywhere else? They could include a card for 30-50k credits(100k if goal doubled), a guaranteed blue, silver, and gold weapon/mod(no char cards) and 3 of each of the 4 consumables(10 of each if goal doubled).
