Is there a reason why everyone seems to choose this Tali outfit?

I know that different outfits have different stats.  However i cant remember whether this one increased power dmg or power recharge speed.

It's better looking than the purple one. Yes that is why I choose it.

I just choose that outfit because it looks the best on her. In fact I do that with all my squad including Shepard

From a pure gameplay perspective, I actually prefer her default outfit (+power damage).

I choose whichever looks best for all of my squad. I prefer this one for tali.

I like both the originals. I dislike the DLC one.

DLC one is too much like Darth Tali to me. While I do like the cooldown reduction on the alt outfit, I stick with her base look. It's iconic, and darned pretty. And the cooldown reduction for her other one isn't that drastic anyway.

News to me too.   I thought they were just cosmetic.

 I have seen no mention of this in the game, if there is a bonus it wasn't very well explained.  <.<   >.>

It's not explained at all. Until you change the outfit and hit "info" on the squadmate, you'd never know they even *had* bonuses. There are two bonuses that you could choose between. For some characters, it's a choice between weapon damage and a bonus to shielding. For most others, it's a choice between power damage and power cooldown bonus.

Thanks for this info.

Wow, never knew different outfits had different stats. Is it like that in both ME2 and 3? If so I'm feeling really stupid.

Nope, just ME3. I wish that was in ME2.

Yeah it's new. It wasn;t in ME2.

You pretty much get 2 outfits that give one bonus and two that give another.

Unless you don't have 4 outfits for each member, i think some of them are dlc related and some characters like javik only have 2 outfits.

You just select the info button to see what bonus the outfit gives.

It's nice on liara if u spec her for singularity cooldown and put a cooldown bonus armor set on her singularity is like 2 second recharge! :D

I can't remember which tali suit I use tho, I haven't unlocked her yet on my insanity run I'm in the middle of, not that far in yet, but just about there.

I pick that one largely for roleplaying reasons; I can't bear the thought of sending Tali out into battle into what basically amounts to her "casual clothes". :( At least that particular suit looks like it's somewhat armoured.

I never knew outfits for squadmates had different stats either. I only put Liara in her armour because it's armour. Thanks for the heads up!

I know that different outfits have different stats.

Wait...different outfits for your COMPANIONS have different stats? Since when? How did I miss this? I always just picked whichever outfit I thought looked cooler (for companions...it's pretty obvious that Shep's armors make a stat difference).

It's a 25% bonus to weapon damage, shield/barrier strength, cooldowns, or power damage. Each squaddie has different ones, though some outfit bonuses overlap. I think Tali's base outfit gives power damage bonus, her second one gives a cooldown bonus, and the Darth Tali outfit gives... weapon damage? I never paid that one much thought.

For Tali, it's either Power Damage or Power Cooldown. She has three or four outfits, but they all have one or the other.

Liara has four outfits. Two give power damage, two give power cooldown.

EDI has four outfits. Two give power damage, two give power cooldown.

Garrus has four outfits. Two give shield strength, two give weapon damage.

For Vega, it's either Shield strength or Weapon Damage.

if you have CE and the Prothy DLC, squadmates can have up to four outfits, but the bonuses available are restricted to one pair; The squadmate either has power damage vs power cooldown, OR shield strength vs weapon damage.

The bonus's never really mattered to me since during fights I am the one ahead killing the enemy for them to move up behind the CPU does seem to have them always doing little much help at times until you needing to open the wheel constantly to tell them to use that damn ability when it's most useful.

So either outfit is fine.
