A minor niggle as I say, but I would like to see it modified (I think it's a light issue some of the time). While on the topic, could we have a few more hairstyles? I'd like to see the return of Princess Leia hair

Agree about more hairstyles though. But surely the devs know we always love more of that.

Ah, forgot to mention the movement! That was definitely an improvement.

Inspired by this thread, one of my minor niggles is that the hair (in some instances in DA:O but mostly DAII) looked very plastic and shiny, almost like lego figures:

Okay I now this is beeing meen and putting salt on snails but the biggest laugh I had

Now this thread turns up and I have this to add to it:![]()
What is that peculiar thing going on on Fenris's head? It's weird; where is the hair above his ears?
Ew gross!

My problem with the "non-Aveline" hairstyles was that they looked to anime-ish.

To be honest, so did Alistair. It seems to be something that comes with shorter hair though. No matter what you do, unless it is a military acceptable cut (like in the ME games), there will always be some issue with it.

Seriously, Bioware. Nothing is a slap in the face to us ladies like Miranda and Ashley being able to have pretty long hair but femShep not. DA does a better job with it - probably because of the "lego-hair," honestly.

I would love to have the option for long hair. Most of the
hairstyles (for women) are ugly.
Aveline hair is bad; I cannot help but think she has a fruit
roll up wrapped around her head every time I look at her.
And the default female Hawke’s hairstyle looks
like she attacked it with her claw hand.

If the armor / oufit isn't fixed - i.e. for a PC - there can be serious clipping with long hair. I think it's the main reason we can't have it yet (although I don't know whether Sheppard can have different oufits). One day, when hair is properly physiqued and moves independently, then who knows...BubbleDncr wrote...

hey hey hey! Let's not be restrictive here! Guys should be able to have long hair options as well! Longer then what DA has done so far. I want shoulder-blade length hair at least.

If that's the case, I want to have beards available for ladies also.
That way I can walk around Orlais twirling my ridiculous Stroud mustache and yelling "twaaaaade goooooods!"

It may have been plastic and shiny, but sometimes it actually moved!
And sometimes, you could see the gap between the hair and people's skulls! From some angles, the hair would actually turn invisible! OR CLIP.
This sort of thing is understandable in a game where people can actually CHANGE THE SIZE OF THEIR CHARACTER's HEAD. But when you have a static character with a static head-size and shape, there is ABSOLUTELY NO REASON why the hair shouldn't match up PERFECTLY with their head. (You can, somewhat, alter how far the forehead sticks out, so I give a pass for the styles where the forehead at full extension can clip the hair a little.)
Everybody shouldn't look like they're wearing a wig. Or, worse, a false beard. Real beards also grow from under the chin, not just the sides, you know, and it's unusual for a man with a full beard to nevertheless SHAVE HIS NECK.
But, yes, the hair looked like a textured plastic hat.

Much as the Japanese game industry has gone down the mediocre, formulaic, creativly stiffled, inability to understand western sensibilities toilette, they still have the best character models, even PC mods remove the western crappy models for Japanese based ones
With Western ones you either get the comicly overly muscle bound steroid super hero builds (cause apparently mages in dragon age can not only do blood magic, but bench press a qunari) or you get these horrificly over detailed human mockeries of blandness (hey, don't need every line in a persons face rendered~! especialy with bad light rendering) just look at the hands in any bioware game, they're nightmare fuel
Oh, Oh! and don't even get me started on the glued on fake beards~! i loooooove how any side profile makes the beards look like one of those novelty joke beards and ontop of that use'n one causes the cheeks to cave in, super awesome job there, now my charecters can look like freaks with fake beards on, fun~!
