So i am doing the whole relationship thing with ashley at the moment, and I talk to that matriarch in the Presidum commons, and she calls me Liaras boyfriends, SERIOUSLY, i never had a romantic subplot with liara in Me 1 - 3, it was Ashley, Miranda, and now Ashley, and somehow, she thinks Im Liara's boyfriend, wtf ? The writers in this game are REALLY absent minded, I;m telling you.

You know how fathers are. Liara seems to be very close to you and her dad thinks that you are her boyfriend =P

I think that's just a bug.

I hope it is, anyway.

Just avoid the paragon and renegade interrupts. It simply makes it look like Liara's "father" is mistaken about Liara and Shepard's relationship.

A bug is when a texture does not load, THIS is a complete and utter oversight...

Hahaha, when you tell him that he helped and he says "really" in that high pitched voice, i crack up. Just annoyed me, this thing, it gets added to the pile of other major oversights in the game, and it seems like the writers were all high when doing this game.

I have a character that ran with liara all three games, but this character was Ash, Miranda, Ash, and the fact that she said I was liaras boyfriend  just annoyed me.

If you take the paragon interrupt shepard says "no one messes with my girl" (in reference to Liara)

tho Liara is my favorite character i do believe she was really forced in this game

the same thing happened with me on my other playthroughs where i romanced other characters and it was quite annoying

Yeah, my Shepard has been with Ash and no one but Ash in the entire series. So I was annoyed too. But I really do think it's just a bug. And I'm saying this as someone who really does feel that the game seems to "push" Liara as a LI.

Like I said, if you avoid the interrupts, it just makes it look like the Matriarch doesn't know what she's talking about. I pretend that my Shepard is amused by the whole thing.

My guy just said dont even think about it, or something along those lines. I know he didn't say that.

My man thats a bug it happened to me the first time I played through the game (romanced Ash as well) the second time she called me her human commander

It's a bug. It should say "Like a human commander who worked for Cerberus" if you're not romancing her.

Man, I wish they kept the "kill Liara or VS" option on Thessia. I think I would kill Liara on most playthroughs, lol.

I cheated on Liara with Traynor, because, frankly, Traynor is a lot more fun. That put an end to it.

Yeah ash is awesome, although she looked kinda funny in the first one, but itj ust annoyed me cuz it adds to the mountain of other oversights.

I actually like Liara, I just wish it didn't feel like the game itself were trying to push her on me.

That said, it does create an interesting character dynamic, since it seems like Liara is still waaay interested in my Shepard, even though he was clear way back in ME1 that he was into Ash and he never led her on. Edwin Shepard likes Liara as a friend, and would like to see her and Ash get along - but it feels like there would still be some friction there.

I noticed this, too. But it's not a biggie. I go for Tali, but Liara has gotten better since ME1. So I'm fine with this.

Funny, Liara was my love interest, but I felt that way about Ash...or maybe I was blinded by b00bies.

When I first saw it my reaction was, "huh, thats weird." But then I just played along even with the interrupts because, even though my Shepard loves Ashley, Liara is still a very close and important friend, so he would consider Liara "his girl" and it was alright that her father was mistaken...things like that happen. That combined with a little deception on my Shepard's part to make his point clear. That is my headcanon anyways.

I used to like Liara a lot, but then ME3 came along and I found her pretty annoying. She is definitely forced on you, throughout the game.
