And that is BioWare's only contribution to the discussion. One that would be considered trolling by anyone without your tag of awesomeness.

Kind of just proving the point, dont you think?

And it gets even better if one takes a look at the posts you made recently via your profile: half of it lockdowns.

Especially this one http://social.biowar...2932/1#11673009 is realy funny, I am just glad you saw the irony yourself:D

Dont get me wrong, BioWare can run their site however they want - it is theirs after all.

But you shouldnt be surprised if people dont like it, or get the view Seishoujyo and many others have.

Tis in your Job description.  Besides, you don't really participate in any conversations these days, nor do you seem to really give an honest opinion.  Just a quick response every now and then, some pro-BioWare or ME3 quote, and bam, there you go. Not really productive IMO.

So Chris, what is your HONEST opinion on the ending to Mass Effect 3, and why do you feel that way?

Most of the venom is there BECAUSE they keep being silent, and whenever they DO speak up, it's full of vitriol sarcasm like Priestly's posts and talking down to everyone who doesn't share their 'great vision'. They're pretty much becoming the Uwe Boll of the videogame world.

I see a lot of Uwe Boll mentioning these days. Call me uneducated, but is he some kind of German who spared us Europeans his artistic visions by moving to the USA?

I agree, however i don´t think they are free to talk, as you are for example. You are an anonymous person that can put down your real opinion with nothing on stake.

The bioware devs that do post on the forum (most don´t post) risk saying what they really think regardless of what their bosses policy is (losing their jobs), saying things that will anger the fans, or getting a bad reputation for posting certain things (they are not anonymous, and therefore they are accountable for what they post).

Once you understand that, it becomes pretty clear why you don´t see many devs posting on the forum, specially about sensitive matters. They only post in "safe" threads where they can get away with giving their opinion on non-important maters. On important things, they have to follow the official line.

I don´t sympathize with Bioware, in fact i won´t buy any more of their games just at the faith level, without trying it first or seeing some solid reviews, but i understand why they can´t just tell what is really going on. Maybe in some years once this whole ME3 debacle is done for good, someone will leak the story of what was going on behind the scenes at bioware. Don´t expect any straight answers from the devs, because even if they wanted to, most of the time they can´t speak freely.

Uwe Boll is the Anti-Christ of quality film making...we are all the lesser for his coming here to the states.

Just read up on him on wiki. Seems to be in close competition with the late Ed Wood. And that certainly means something.

I'm still waiting for Stan Woo or Priestly to challenge someone to a boxing match just to prove that the criticisms are 'wrong'. Given Priestly's conduct I'd say we're getting close to that point. In particular, if it's Woo, I imagine his one-two jab followed by a straight to be accentuated by a 'DING DONG BANNU'.

I found that to be extremely offensive, careless and stupid.  Shows no respect for other people's beliefs at all.  It's offensive to Christians, it's offensive to anyone unhappy with the ending, and offensive to smart people everywhere.

Cause, you know... Acts, Romans, etc.  A whole lot more to the NT than just the Gospels.

F### you Chris.  What an ass.

Are you listening Christ Priestly? This is what we're talking about when we say Bioware isn't listening to us. Leaving scattered condescending remarks and thread lockdowns is NOT an actual dev/user relationship.

There, I left an evil emoticon. This must make my comment as relevant as Chris' now.

And that is kind of theme brewing here, isn't it.  Fans of Bioware and Mass Effect series are starting to feel a lot of resentment toward Bioware and the developers and moderators, especially when Chris Priestly comes in here with his rude and condescending comments.  He seems to delight in banning people and locking down threads after making some snide little remark, usually as the "period" of a locked thread.

It's this growing resentment toward the moderators and developers at Bioware that is leading to a significantly toxic relationship between Bioware and its customers.

Let's not forget that Bioware is in business to produce a product (not art) and without people to buy their products then they have no business.

Bioware seems to hold its fans in contempt.  Not a particularly bright corporate move, in my opinion.

Sure, there's more to the NT than the Gospels. But I don't see how knowing that ruins the joke. Very few jokes could survive a technical analysis.

Since I liked the joke, should I find your post offensive? You just said that smart people should be offended, and since I'm not offended.......

Gleym was banned for the usual 'hilarious' racism of the 'DING DONG BANNU' comment. If that's what you're defending, then that's certainly your prerogative, but you'll note that no one's being banned for having a negative opinion of the game or the company.

You're free to hold whatever opinion you'd like, so long as it's presented civilly. Racism is not civil.

I didn't detect any attempts at racism with the remark. Just citing a meme that exists because of a relentless attempt at censoring criticism. But I can see how leaping on any chance to silence criticism would be the optimal thing to do, rather than find out if that person had any actual intent behind what they said. Just goes to show exactly the kind of negative attitude that people are complaining about, "He said something we don't like! Let's assume and punish before investigating!" Pure class. If you guys were moderator staff on any other site you'd have lost your rank by now ten times over.

Yeah, this is laughable.  If this is your threshold for "racism" then it is a micron thin.  So when my doorbell rings it's racist?  Okay!

It's supposed to be tacky because it's a comedic meme parodying Woo's catchphrase whenever he'd lock a thread or ban a person for having perfectly viable complaints, AlanC9.

It's about as racist as mimicking Flavor Flav by yelling 'YEEEAAAH BOOOIIII!'
