So after playing ME 3 and not having the will to want to play it again I went back to playing ME2 tonight. But when ever i start up a new character i get the intro movie with Mirnada and TIM talking. Right after when it shows the the normandy coming out of FTL and it shows the galaxy map my whole ps3 just freezes. I can hear the occasioal little sound from a button being pushed but thats it no movement what so ever. Anyone know a way to fix this that doesnt result in me buying ME2 and all the DLC all over again?
ME2 just doesnt want to work

Try deleting the "Game Data" and reinstalling the content again.

doesnt work. it pisses me off because i can load all my saves and play from there but they are all saves from after the collector base...

Hmmm, sorry to hear. Unfortunately, since ME2 is "old" now, there isn't going to be much support from the devs any more.

Does this only happen with ME2? If so, it could be your disk is scratched.

yea i just got around to look at the the surface of the disc and there is a tiny scratch that you wouldnt see unless you really looked for it. Just makes me angry that my copy of PES 2011 has an actual crack in the disk and that still plays like nothing is wrong.

^^ no one knows, and believe me, a lot of people have been asking EA Origins support since January of THIS year. Still no fix!
