Human Soldiers kicks ass! AR and Frag Grenades are awesome, even Concussive shot it good. I have one sporting a Raptor and Revenant, she's a killing machine!

Why not just pick a Human Infiltrator and spare yourself the pain?

If you need more, press Adrenaline Rush and kill one shielded enemy per shot, or better quickly empty your clip, use AR and proceed with damage boost. Generally you'll be able to do 2 series under AR buff and if you have enemies left by that time you better ask what the heck your teammates were doing.
Charged GPS staggers phantoms and flamers and it's not hard to score a hit. If phantom goes into invisibility, you are free to keep shooting at general direction. Generally I don't need full clip to finish phantom. If you are under fire, you can toss AR for the sake of damage reduction. Once again you have enough time to kill phantom even staying on open ground.
Fragmentation grenade is a great AOE tool and another damage boost against organics (anything but geth and Atlas). It's radius makes clumps of mobs melt in seconds and even geth masses are going down easily. In addition it staggers enemies. Also it finishes tech burst if you have disruptor ammo or incineration/ED applied.
I'm quite mobile. I do not need cover aim bonus to hit targets. I do not need headshots to deal damage. Shooting around corner provides enough cover in general. If it's not useful you can strafe to doorway, shoot and instantly roll away.

Certain weapons are ridiculous with well-timed ARs, such as Striker, Paladin, Valiant, BW.

Simple to play and all you have to do is spam grenades in groups, easy.

Revenant X (barrel/stability)
NO grenades.
Always take ammo power. (preferably AP or Warp)
Fire from cover.
CS spam for CC.

I'm thinking high upgraded Mattock would be the way to go with this one. The problem with it being a pure weapon class is that there is nothing better than an Infiltrator simply because tactical cloak nearly doubles all weapon damage.

Seriously, why does this class even exist?
Let me start by saying that everyone has a different play style so what works for me may not work for you or anyone else, its why there are differences between the human characters and the alien ones.
[/b]Soldiers are pure combat specialists: no one is tougher or more suited to taking down enemies with barrages of gunfire.
Adrenalin Rush is the power that turns them into a devestating force on the battle field. While active it boosts damage, makes the soldier move faster and depending on the upgrades chosen can reduce the damage the soldier takes and boost his shields as well as reload his currently equiped weapon.
The best time, in my opinion, to use AR is when you are taking a lot of fire or you are about to run out of ammo in your weapon and really do not want to go threw the reload animation.
Weapons that excell in the soldiers hands are heavy hitting weapons that, unfortunetly, have limited amounts of ammo per clip.
Assault Rifles - Mattock, Saber, Revenent, Falcon, Striker
Shotguns - Geth Plasma Shotgun, Graal Spike Thrower
The Mattock has a high rate of fire, which AR can extend and allow you to lay down a heavy stream of fire, either into a swarm of enemy forces or into a heavy unit like an Atlas, Banshee, ect. Activate it when you hit the last round of your clip and not only can you continue your punishing rate of fire but it becomes even more effective.
The Saber has a slower rate of fire and a much smaller clip, but it delivers even more damage, use it like you would with the Mattock to continue you steady rate of fire that hits like a cannon ball.
The Revenent has a low damage rating, per shot, however it has a very high rate of fire which can eat through its clip rather quickly, using AR will let you continue delivering a wall of suppression fire that staggers enemies and sends them looking for cover, or allows you to really put a hurting on stronger enemies.
The Falcon is a great crowd control weapon, its slow rate of fire is off set by the fact that most enemy forces caught in the blast area of its grenades will be staggered for longer than it takes to get the next round off, load it up with cryo rounds and you lock down massive swaths of the battle feild with staggerd and frozen enemy forces. Use AR to reload when you are reciving a strong push to bypass the long reload time and to deliver even more damage. On silver with my Falcon 7 I can take most low level troops out in 3-5 shots.
The Striker is a Full Auto Falcon with a smaller blast area and a much higher rate of fire. Use AR for the same reasons you do for the Falcon and Revenent.
The Geth Plasma shot gun, charge up a shot, fire it off, then continue to fire, when you hit that last round hit AR and you will tell a banshee who her daddy is.
The Grall Spike launcher, same thing as with the Geth Plasma Shot gun.
Forget Concussive shot, yes im sure many of you are screaming about that, and focus on Frag Grenades. Depending on how you upgrade them they can damage large groups of enemies, kill small groups and let you spam out plenty of them to help deal with enemies of all sizes, numbers and area they cover.

Seriously, I've been meaning to ask this, too. I got a Turian Soldier and Batarian Soldier. My Human Soldier is getting experience levels from them, but I have no idea what to do with him.
Maybe arm him with a Falcon Grenade Launcher?
Or a Graal Thrower Shotgun?
Anyone got any ideas on what to do with Human Soldiers?
Stryker AR + Adrenaline Rush + Grenade
Saw a group of enemies? Keep shooting into the ammo clip is almost over or your shield is down, Adrenaline Rush, still shooting, grenade if necessary...

well explained.
The class is fine, but is weapon oriented, you need a good weapon to make a good soldier. People think a class is useless when they can't take the best of it, ignoring that others peoples can do it. I couldn't use the Falcon properly, but it doesn't mean it s*ck, there's a lot of people doing a good job with it, so the problem is not the weapon, it's me, I need to learn how to use it. Same with the human soldier, people just need to learn...

because I think playing the same class all the time is boring and I like to keep changing. The MP is repetitive enough by itself, but have a good variety of weapons and classes. I like to use it to keep the MP flesh, so I never stick in the best weapon, or the more convenient class, I keep trying, learning and challenging myself with new builds.
plus, I like the human soldier, it's fun to play with =D

Oh forums, you amuse me so much while I have my coffee.
Here is the brief response I have given a dozen times. Grenades are amazing, learn to throw them effectively. Adrenaline Rush is one of the most fun and useful skills in the game. It refreshes your shields if you spec it right (thus giving you a shield gate again which is amazing on gold) and it reloads your weapon. At the same time it buffs your damage and reduces the damage you take. A lot of people laugh off the reload aspect saying you can animation cancel to reload weapons faster...but you still have to stop firing/aiming to do that...with AR you can keep firing and finish something off.
