First, if you can beat gold with it it wont prove anything. Second, I know it has uses, it shoots bullets and that is good. But If you really want to write how much you love Eagle write WHY is it better then the other pistols/smgs, because nobody did that yet....
First.... I just simply dont understand the logic behind the description of the weapon. Its a heavy pistol, and it is named after the Desert Eagle ---> (brainstorming in Bioware) conclusion: Full auto low dmg pistol....
(1.5: just to make things clear, if I write N7 weapon it means the Valiant, Crusader,Valkyrie, Hurricane, Eagle. NOT the ultra rare weapons)
Second, main problem... its an N7 weapon. I understand it can't be THE best pistol in the game, because it would be just nonsense, when an n7 ultra rare weapon kicks ass out of every other one. /sarcasm
But... why does it have to be THE WORST pistol in the game. I just cant think any reason for it to be a viable weapon:
Dmg, It has really low dps, lowest of the pistols. If we count armor, its even lower due to the low base dmg.
ROF. If you need a full auto weapon, you choose an smg. Even the shuriken has better dps. And, some of you wont believe, but Predator has higher ROF, you just need to click very fast, and its gonna shoot faster.
Accuracy. Lower, then the rest of the pistols, lower then some smgs. Recoil same.
Clip/capacity. Only advantage with pistols, but the smg-s still has higher, or close clip/capacity with greater dps/accuracy
Weigth. Predator, and Shuriken has much lower. and both are better with the above statistics.
In dmg/Rof/Acc/Weight Predator is not JUST better it is MUCH better, and its a basic, common, starter, lowbie (I could continue) weapon.
If you want to shoot full auto then SMG.
So summed. it really, really sucks. Even If I accepted the ridiculous fact that n7 weapons are NOT the best ones (Except for valiant, it is a competitor for BW), AT LEAST you they should be not the worst. I would really like to see an explanation for this from Bioware, that again WHAT WERE YOU THINKING???
Edit: Got a lot of comments about "I can win it Eagle." It doesnt mean anything. I dont say Eagle is useless, its just the worst pistol, and noone could show me proof why should I choose it rather than the predator. So stop growing e-peen by commenting you can beat gold with it. As a commenter wrote: you can win gold with a melee built asari adept, it wont mean it is good.

Now I understand the logic of Bioware, understand the usefullnes, the cr@ppy dps, EVERYTHING.
You know that in SP you get the N7 weapons by buying the collectors edition. So N7 weapons are "collector weapons". If the Eagle is so damn bad as it is now, you wont use, so why dont you just decorate your cabin with it? AND BANG Thats why it is a "Collectors Edition" weapon. This pistol was made to HANG ON A WALL not to shoot with it, why in the seven hells did we think it was made for shooting??!!?... And this explains everything, I think.
Edit3: Its not based on the Desert Eagle only named after it, but I still dont get the difference. Why should somebody name.... never mind....
