I really like the eagle. It's one of my favorite pistols. I use it as a sidearm on my human infiltrator. Works very well.

I use mine as a paperweight...most useless pistol ever.

Thats'  pretty funny...

When I first got it, I thought, cool a new pistol. Then I was like WTF? I can't use it as its too heavy and it has no damage power at all.

Maybe.  This game is still a balancing act between weapons and powers, so one should choose one to complement the other.

If the game was perfectly tuned, that'd be true.  It's not.  Some weapons just plain suck.  This is one of them.

If a power is grossly underpowered, its your fault for not setting it up powerfully.

That's the dumbest thing I've heard since the media stopped paying attention to Jack Thompson.

Maybe.  This game is still a balancing act between weapons and powers, so one should choose one to complement the other.

Except the Eagle is never ever the right choise, as there are better weapons to complement any and every power in the game.

I think the Eagle would be perfectly fine/usable if they dropped the scoped recoil down drastically.

The Desert Eagle is one of the most pointless auto loading pistols ever made. So the N7 Eagle does live up to its namesake.

As for the Talon... 21st Cent. Earth counterpart would be something like the Taurus Judge (which I think is also a gimmick pistol).  Although 410 isn't heavy guage really.

N7 weapons is just promotion item for digital deluxe edition/collector's edition.
Quality, damage, DPS, ROF...It done't matter how good or suck.
They are just LURE for selling another package

what is evidence? how can y sure n7 weapons are just display item? how dare y say just like it?

Oh...just think one more time.
If you are BW programer or PM, did you really make some great and powerful weapons?
These stub will make more harder to maintaining balance.
Every reviewer will cry just like 'you need only n7 weapons, anything ales is just waste of data.
And what about player's rage?

So what? Just find some real weapon and put them to game.
Predator/Phalanx represent compact/standard 9mm pistol
Carnifex/Paladin looks like heavy pistol..such as desert eagle or big revolver.
Scorpion/Talon...ME3 is space opera, and who can say 'there is no pistol such like them'
Arc is just electronic stun gun with SF modify.

And here com n7 eagle.
simple. full-automatic 9mm pistol. something like glock18.

There is no need to crying 'weapon is so sxxx~, plz buff!'
This is not FPS. ME3 is space opera.

I just coudnt narrow down to quote a few lines. This whole comment is out of sense, I will just ignore it....

The N7 Eagle is indeed crappy damage-wise. Unless I missed something it has the lowest base DPS of any weapon in MP bar the Falcon (not figuring armor into this). Quite sad that a Shuriken outperforms it. And Predator... hah, Predator I is far superior to Eagle X.

<- N7 Eagle II
I actually like it on Vanguard, 200% cooldown. But it isn't a very good pistol. Hell it isn't a very good SMG either.

It exists to taunt PS3 players with a weapon they can't have and thus yearn for. Eventually, if we ever receive it, it'll serve as yet another slap in the face when we realise, as you all have, that it's worthless anyway.

Well, on the wiki page (not official) they say that it is named after the Desert Eagle, not based on the Desert Eagle. This is sort of like how a 1990 Pontiac LeMans has nothing to do with a 1965 Pontiac LeMans.

It is based off of the Phalanx design and is named after the Deagle.

I have nothing against the Desert Eagle; but, I've never handled one in person.
IIRC, contrary to popular belief, the DE was never the most powerful handgun made.  I believe most say that standard commercial loads of the .454 Casul round are more powerful than even the .50 AE.
The DE is the most powerful autoloading handgun out there; but, there are several revolvers that are more powerful, as they don't have the moving parts at firing time of a semi-automatic, they can be built to take higher pressures and still be reasonably manageable.

No.

I want it to do as much as a Black Widow, but have a laser sight (can't equip scope) and a slow rate of fire, similar to the Eviscerator but a bit slower (35 RPM).

My two commendation pack have resulted in an eagle II. Used it once. Not even a fun novelty weapon like the scorpion

I use a N7 Eagle on my Asari Adept, because while I know the Carnifex hits harder, I just don't really like it. My Eagle has the Damage barrel and larger magazine. Allows me to spray a bit waiting for GCD after a Warp, without needing to reload each time. The recoil is easily managable. And I get 200% Power Recharge without a 6th point in Asari Justicar. Allows for 6/6/6/5/3.

I sometimes use a Phalanx, though it needs more level-ups.

I play a lot more Silver than Gold, but I don't struggle on Gold with it.

Kidding me?
I LOVE the Eagle. It's rate of fire and clip size is awesome.
Not as powerful as the Carnifax or Paladin, but it has a big clip to make up for it.

Because we're not always 3 foot from an ammo box and sitting on 255 thermal clip packs, and pistols don't have a very fast reload animation?

Edit2: I FINNALY FOUND THE ANSWER!!!!!

Now I understand the logic of Bioware, understand the usefullnes, the cr@ppy dps, EVERYTHING.

You know that in SP you get the N7 weapons by buying the collectors edition. So N7 weapons are "collector weapons". If the Eagle is so damn bad as it is now, you wont use, so why dont you just decorate your cabin with it? AND BANG Thats why it is a "Collectors Edition" weapon. This pistol was made to HANG ON A WALL not to shoot with it, why in the seven hells did we think it was made for shooting??!!?... And this explains everything, I think.

Wrong. It's a good  weapon in single player, it only sucks in multiplayer. Actually it only sucks at gold, it's good on silver and bronze.

I use the N7 Eagle all the time in gold. I don't see what the issue is that everyone is complaining about. I'm sure there are better guns, but that doesn't mean that the Eagle is bad. You just have to know how to use it and which class goes well with it. As a matter of fact, just yesterday, I took down quite a few Banshees, Marauders, Brutes, and Ravagers without help from my squadmates. My teammates were struggling and I just ripped the enemy a new one. I'm not sure why this is so controversial.
