Knowing how the trilogy ultimately ends, would you recommend a newbie to play all 3 games?

Yes, anyone who dismisses an otherwise superlative trilogy, despite its faults, on the basis of the last five minutes is just being infantile.

you ever have sex with this totaly hot chick youve been eyeing for months, and then at the last second when your just about to climax, your dick falls off?

my biggest gripe is that ME1 was 100% better. hows ME worse then when it started?

As with ME3, in this scenario, the woman is not to blame there, dearie.

ME1 better?

Companion interaction was rather meh in ME1. The whole combat system was an utter mess.

And the story was....uh....as cliche as it gets.

Never mind that Marc Meer's VO acting was unacceptable back then while in ME3....

Yes, play the first 2 and feel the pain that I experience at the end of ME3.

What a rediculous question. Of course I would recommend all 3 games.

100% yes.

They should also play the original un-extended ME3 just to see how much of an epic failure the ending was, so that maybe they can learn from it's disaster too.

Not that the extended cut will do anything though...

nowadays the ending feels like someone told me truth about santa claus. I know i would be happier if didn't know the ending.

And you know that how?

With 5+ months dev time, it's bound to do quite a lot. That's the DEV time of LEGACY and LOTSB. Bioware's BEST DLC to date.

I kind of felt this way too

Id recommend it but would definatly warn that the ending is one big screw up (if EC doesnt fix it) and introduces a character more hated than Jar Jar Binks and Justin Bieber combined, and to just make up your own ending post harbinger beam, so as not to let it ruin the prvious 2 and 98% games.

I'd tell them to play the whole series.

Some people (not me) like it beginning to end, who knows maybe they'll be one of the lucky ones.

I'd recommend you play all three to be honest. The first two for definite, even if the second game is dumbed down gravely from the first (better combat system though). The third still has its merits despite the deus ex machina elements and the ending.

I'd suggest playing ME3 up until the point Harbinger rapes everyone and imagine the ending yourself.

Absolutely, I would recommend the series. Its an awesome story full of vivid characters.

However, I guess it might depend on the person you are recommending it to. If they are the type that feel a story has no value whatsoever if it doesn't end exactly how they believe it should, then don't. If they are the type that get upset at watching movies like Dragonheart because they might feel let down by the ending, then don't.

However, if they enjoy a great story and won't let the last few minutes spoil literally HUNDREDS of hours of enjoyment, then definintely.

I would be honest about what the series was for me. I would tell them I loved ME1, possibly my fav game due to the story. ME2 excelled in gameplay and introuduced great characters and was just about on par. I would say that 3 was great until the end. And after watching the end for the first time I haven't played any of them again.

They can judge for themselves.

Nope. Though I would recommend the first two games, I cannot recommend the last one as long as the ending is not fixed.

I'd tell them never to buy the trilogy (and have). Every friend I have who hadn't already bought the game I warned never to buy it, and those who had unfortunately already bought it I warned never to beat it.

I'd definitely recommend all 3 games, but try to keep unbiased about the ending. They may love it or hate it, but they shouldn't be swayed either way.
