Why would one be locked out of posting a new topic in the Mass Effect Story Discussion forum? The FAQ is rather unhelpful.

the whole locking people out of the forums unless they buy the game is pointless and annoying i guess in theory it is to prevent trolls from spreading rumors about storylines they know nothing about but in general i think it is good to sometimes hear opinions from people who haven't played a game

The only game that your profile revealed (originally) that you can (could) access a Story discussion forum for was ME-2.  If you do have ME-3, you haven't yet jumped through all of the necessary hoops that Bethesda and EA have set up to make the process inconvenient, particularly if your game version is on a console platform, rather than on PC.

(In the intervening time following posting my comment here, I see a newly added Icon for DA: Origin, so at this moment, you can post in Story discussion forums for DA:O and ME-2.)

ME1 (or any other older Bioware game) related forums do not require registration.

I can't even post in the General forums of the games that are supposed to be open for everyone.

Thanks, Jesse, nice try but it don't work.

Read this thread in the General Discussion forum and you will see how much crap people are experiencing in trying to register ME3.

CmndrFisher I'm guessing the problem is that your gamertag isn't linked to the EA account you're using now?

Urdnot Amenark there is a 24 hour waiting period before you can post. There is no way that I know of to get around that block. You should be fine to post now.

I am an X360 gamer - My X360 is in a location without an internet connection so has never been connected to Xbox live.
How can I register my copy of Mass Effect 3?
Should I just post my technical questions and spoilers in the general board?

You have to connect to the internet one time while playing the game in order to be able to register.

And that's exactly the problem: I don't have the internet where I have my Xbox 360. I access the internet from a public library, and I doubt I'd be able to lug my TV and 360 there. XD

I'm already aware of that. I am still unable to post, even though my game is clearly registered.

Same. My game is registered and it has been 24 hours, still can't post on the ME3 board.

I'm guessing this error has something to do with Origin.

My X360 is in a location without a suitable internet connection so I am unable to do this.

Where should I post my mass effect 3 technical questions and spoilers?

Send a PM to Jesse.Reid, but it's the weekend, so none of them are around (and they don't drop in every day during the week, either).

Already did. It's also been nearly a week, but I'm sure they've got good reason.

I see there is still no Answer (or acknowledgement of a problem)
Does Bioware really want offline console gamers to post their technical questions and spoilers for ME3 on the general board??
(Note to Bioware - silence is normally considered to indicate consent)

..and it is very frustrating to post on a topic in the general board..then to try to edit the post only to find myself unable to submit the revised version because the topic had been moved to the spoiler board in the interval between submissions (less than 4 minutes..)

Jesse,  If you take a look at the thread I posted a link to, you will see that there are many complications that go beyond gamertag links.  Fortunatley, i was able to work out my problem with the help and suggestions fron other community memebrs since the EA/Bioware help site is so twitchy and sloppy and the responses from them have been inadequate at best.  You will  see that the members on that hread have had ridiculous experiences with EA  in this regard and have had to rely on each other.

~Respectfully~
