Not a big fan of the ending.
The DLC won't solve the ending.

But it would hopefully tell me more about the state of the galaxy after (Decision A, B, C), what my former squadmates are doing and what the races are doing.

A some differences in the epilogue according to what decisions you made during the trilogy would be nice too.

So, sure I still have my expectations about extended cut. But to be honest, I'm more than pleased with the 99% of the game they got right.

Here are the resolutions that I'm happy with. These happened in game and not during an epilogue.

Krogan Genophage problem.
Quarian/Geth problem
I dealt the final blow to Cerberus, even if that involved dealing with a ninja from Cliché Ville.
I united the Galaxy Dragon Age Origins style.
I had an epic sacrifice. If Shepard must die, let him/her die saving the galaxy. That is epic, even though it involved ripping of Deux Ex and lots of plot holes and that ghost child thing.

(Actually come to think of it, I do like Kai Leng. You guys are a bit harsh on him. Just because he looks and talks like someone from a saturday morning animé cartoon and is badly written, doesn't mean he isn't fun.)

No, it will just be rubbing salt in that festering wounds. An EC, free at that, wont be able t cover up all the flaws with the last part of the game.

They aren't even gonna patch that horrible journal!

Yeah they have yet to release one patch for this glitch filled game.  They can't even be bothered to rlease a patch that makes it so I can get all the endings with out multiplayer like they said I could.  This is what proves to me Hudson is a hack who hates video gamers and is only in this to get as much money as he can.

Look at this list of glitches I put together for my review on amazon.

Bioware is lying every time they say you can get all Single player
endings with out playing Multiplayer. Everyone has run the numbers and
even with importing a save from the last two games that has all side
quests and DLC completed there is no way to get the 5000+ EMS points
needed to get the fourth and final ending with out playing massive
amounts of multiplayer.

Character import does not import your
face from the last two games. That is right a basic feature that ME2 had
no trouble with does not work at all.

area map refuses to come up at times.

Mission objectives will just go away and missions will just end at random.

Sound just cuts off at random and the only way I found to get it back is to shut down the game and restart my computer.

Game randomly shuts down in the middle of play.

Characters will vanish while I am in the middle of talking to them.

Some times the game will present me with a dialog choice only to choose one it's self before I had a chance to click on it.

Nav points will some times send you the wrong way for a mission objective.

A few times I encountered enemies that could not be killed and I had to restart the mission to kill them.

Sometimes my custom Shepard would revert to having the default face in cut scenes.

Origin locks me out of the game at random by refusing to launch it.

Three
or four times the save game feature did not remember where I had last
saved and I had to replay whole sections of the game.

Shepard sometime ends up walking in place mid air.

A couple of times cut scenes just froze and I had to restart the game.

The game doesn't remember all of your choices from the last two correctly.

In
the Legion mission some of the blocks you have to shoot will be out or
range of your gun and you have to restart the mission for them to be in
range.

Origin will not let me unistall this glitch filled mess with out downloading a massive update first.

The fact that after almost two months not one of these glitiches has been fixed proves that Hudson and Bioware don't care about quality and are just in it for the money.  Mass Effect 3 was basicly a smash and grab, they released a glitch filled untested product and then lied about to to sell as many preorders as they could and then just ran with the money and left us with a glitch filled game that will never work the way it was suppose to.  If they were in any other line of work they would be sued or in jail or both, but until this country wakes up and makes video game makers live up to the same standards that other companies have to they can get away with releasing unfiniushed bug filled proiducts and charging full price for them and then refusing to give a refund.  The way Bioware acted and thwe other all message of this game makes me sick.  Hudson is in charge and he takes credit for everything good Bioware has done so if he had any honor as the man in charge he would take the blaim for this and leave the company instead of letting the company go belly up and letting a lot of people who were just doing what he told them tolose their jobs.

No.

Given the statement about it not intruducing new endings and gameplay or dialogue options is true.
Reality needs explaining to comfort you if you dont like it. Fiction has the ability to change to your liking. Mass Effect is fiction. Use its abilities to its fullest.

Yeah well put.

I think titanic is a pretty crummy movie that has bad dialog and bland characters, now why would I go see a version of it that is a half hour longer?  It's just more time with a story I can not stand.  If I find a fly on my bruger and I take it back I don't want them to give me a bigger fly,I want a new burger that never had a fly on it.

Maybe. If it adds some gameplay, more final options, and a truckload of epilogue details for every obsessively little detail. In other words, if it is as good as the preceding 2.9 games.

Going on what the official statement was... No. Bandaging a limb with gangrene will not make you healthier whichever color the bandage.

I'm still in AWE, AWE that people take everything in the EC announcement as Gospel and call everything else a lie.

Fallacies. Fallacies everywhere.

They said that the new content would have no new gameplay,no new endings,no new dialog, and it would not change the outcome of the game so unless after they lied to us about the endings and not needing multiplayer bioware and their fans expect us to assume that everything they say is a lie then we can say the endings are not fixing the problems.

Longer versions of the endings don't change the fact that my Shepard would not have picked any of them in the first place.

So we should just assume that Bioware are a bunch of crooks who are always lying about everything to get our money?  And that is why we should have no problem with this company and give them more of our money?

Okay.

Hey everyone the extended endings will fix the problem just remember that everything bioware says is a lie and you should not trust them an inch!

Yeah that is the type of company I will be supporting in future.:innocent:

They said the current endings will not change. That is all they said. The rest you're pulling out your ass.

Oh yeah, there's the bug where Liara and Shepard are locked to looking at the orb while talking to each other. That script needs to be patched but won't get patched.

So if the ending is only going to leave things as they are now with only a brief explanation as to "now this is how control works after shepard dies"; "this is how synthesis works"; etc; but if they redo the dialog from starkid to say deactivated instead of destroyed for the mass relays, and change the cinematic from exploding relays to fizzling relays, and then explain how people magically teleported to the normandy....

I want to see how they talk themselves out of this mess. I'll hand them a shovel.

Have you not been paying attention to the information that has been trickling out? You have accepted a PR statement worded by someone who has no input on the matter. Furthermore had you been reviewing the threads I've been posting you would know that I have been relaying information that has come DIRECTLY from the producer.

All the necessary components are going to be there. They haven't even entered production yet. You would know that if you had been paying to the post that Michael Gamble came and POSTED about.

Same exact endings with just more "stuff" doesn't fix the fundamental problem with the endings.

So no.

I can't give a yes or no at this point, just a solid "maybe".

Since they are keeping the ending the same, I probably still won't like it. But because they are adding clarification and closure, I might be satisfied by it.

Again they said nothing would be changed so unless you want me to assume they are lying then the fact that I find the final message of the game to be offisively racist will not change.  Now if you do want me to assume that they are lying then why would I trust anything they say or buy anything from them in the first place.  Either Bioware is lying or I know for a fact that the ending will not fix my problems with it.  Maybe if you spent some of the time you spend praying to that statue of Hudson you have in your house working a job and saving some money one day you will be able to buy yourself some braincells and then you will be able to understand what I am saying.

I admit that it is still far too early to say for certain. But from what I have heard so far, I can safety say that it will NOT solve my problems. The ending is broken, plain and simple. Adding a few lines of diologue that still result in the same three choices changes nothing for me.

Yeah and if Bioware and their fans had a braincell between them they would understand this and we would not have to keep trying to explain it to them in thread after thread.
