Yes, I think that is the plan.

If the extended cut fails to make sense of the senseless ending then the future dlc can suck my bollocks... just sayin.

Actually, given the general climate and the low success odds of the above, the best business decision for bioware would be to cut and run, stop all teams working on anything ME related and move to a new franchise. Something as far away from the ME universe as they can get. Or star wars.
Hmm, Baldurs Gate 3 anyone? Do they still have that old D&D license?
Thank youChris Priestly wrote...

Except this action doesn't take future whole company sales into account. Who wants to buy from a company who abandons you when it's most profitable to them?Zolt51 wrote...

Any word on the EMS problem? Having the EC wont make much difference if i still can't access all of the endings

Unfortunately, I doubt the EC will be first. Mostly likely since the other DLC's were already planned, they have already been written and conceptualized to some extent (not that I know as fact, just guessing). EC seems to be a change of plans for them so it likely has to be written and all that before they can actually start making the content. The last thing I think anyone wants is for them to rush it and fail to deliver on the ending again. So I'd say let them do some other DLC's first so they have the time to get the EC right (in terms of writing and conception). Again, speculatificating here.

There have been 2 patches (not one as you claim) since launch and there are more to come.
There is also single player DLC (besdies the EC) and multiplayer DLC to come.

The fact that people are still around and being passionate about ME tells me that there's a lot of demand out there for more of ME, if it's good. BW know that. For the Extended Cut not to satisfy enough people would be mad because if they get it right they've brought the cash cow back to life and everyone is happy. Given what I've heard I'm not sure how they'll pull that off but I can't believe they'd be daft enough to acknowledge the displeasure with the endings and then spend time and money doing something that doesn't address it, or even adds to it. The timescale also suggests a desire to get it right.Zolt51 wrote...
