Speaking of which... can anyone dig up those old D&D license papers? What was the expiry date on those? I hear there's been some interesting stuff going on in the Forgotten realms universe.

Not going to happen.

Let’s break down Baldur’s Gate, for those of us who might be unaware of how tricky the issues around older games can become: Bioware owns the rights to the Infinity Engine, which is the tech that runs the game. Wizards of the Coast owns the intellectual property, and Hasbro owns Wizards of the Coast. Atari owns the electronic publishing rights. EA owns Bioware.

The polls are the result of people being childish and stubborn. It's obnoxious the way some people have sudden shifts of opinions just because 'x' made a great article on why he hated ME3/2/1...

That 20% will rise, I'm sure of that. The same way how alot of people said "I'm never going to buy another BW game again" with DA2, yet I see the same people up here in these forums talking about ME3 hehe.

People were expecting ME3 to recover from the bad stigma that DA2 generated.

It didn't.

And what are you basing that on?  The flaming flamers that troll here?

The fans who came up with a much more plausable ending than Bioware's writers could. Problem?

Wait.  Are you talking about the same "fans" that made this community the steaming pile of dung that it is today?  Those "fans"?  Okie doke.  Yes, surely BioWare should hire these kids ASAP!

imo people wanted me3 to be like da2 because 2 years ago people became so worried they argued it every chance they got

not saying this to troll or start a fight but i think people for the last 2 years basicly came into me3 already assuming it will fail

and again this is just my opinion

the more people think negative on something for so long then yea your already gona start playing a game with a pre determined mindset

Uh. What?

I don't think there were any significant flamers on here with regards to the first game, maybe there were a few RPG diehards who disliked the second game but I think you're clutching at straws here.

Thing is that bioware is damned if they do and damned if they don't. They cut and run now means that they lied about the DLC and ruin their reputation. They release a clarification and they send the signal that they really don't care about people's concerns about the game and just are doing PR acrobatics.

It didn't help. I think the ending covers up the fact that Mass Effect 3 on its best day is a very average third person shooter with a mess of a control scheme (with particular reference to the PC controls, I played the demo and my god that was a horrible experience).

We're not talking about drones here, we're talking about the fans who desperately want to see Bioware return to their former glory.

Edit: I love the fact that is censored. Absolutely love it.

That ship has sailed. CDPR did a free 10 GB expansion for free. Bioware are doing clarity. That alone makes Biowares effort look less than sincere.

I was hoping ME3 would at least retain ME2's style and not water it down even more. What we got in the end was a flawed and buggy third person shooter which lacked the discussion points and choices which made ME2 a hit even with Bioware's more RPG oriented fans.

where are people getting this 10 GB from? My update was only 460 mb and all it did was add very minor things.

You're rather short sighted then. Bioware are most certainly not cool at this moment in time.

Bioware is in a bad "lose lose" situation right now. They might as well try their best to get out of that situation instead of giving up.

Don't you know? If we don't toe the line and follow the herd, and mindlessly go with what the "cool kids" think, our opinions are invalid.

And yet, we're the ones called "drones".

You're short sighted because you're ignoring all of Bioware's good work before Mass Effect 2. Also note that they aren't doing a new ending, they're clarifying an unclarifiable ending.
