People who dislike the game are the "vocal minority". I don't see what you're getting at here.

What?

I never criticised your ability to have an opinion, I just pointed out that I feel that it's wrong, it's called debating.

"That guy" has also pointed out a clear fact that they have NEVER said that they would be making a new ending. Accept it.

Of course you don't. That would involve the ability to understand what other people are actually saying, without resorting to insults like "lol drones", which you've proven you're incapable of doing.

Quickly, point out where I have specifically said "lol drones" within any of my posts in this thread.

I'm going to be timing you on this so I expect a quick turnaround, chop chop!

You're short sighted because you're ignoring all of Bioware's good work before Mass Effect 2. Also note that they aren't doing a new ending, they're clarifying an unclarifiable ending.

no im more realistic because i dont allow a 10 minute cutscene to ruin a experiance for me.

and so what? there extending the ending big deal and you guys asked for closure did you not?

just because i dont call myself a old school bioware fan or classic dungeons and dragons fan  dosent give you a right to critisize me

you sit here you complain about how gaming sites critisize you and your group and here you are doing the same

i mean forgive me for playing other titles other then just strictly bioware games

its people like you who give gamers a bad image and if your a true gamer you wouldnt be complaining about something thats almost 2 months old

nowadays people tend to forget gaming is for fun and if you take any game seriously im sorry but thats on you not the devs or the people who disagree with you

We're not talking about drones here, we're talking about the fans who desperately want to see Bioware return to their former glory.

Edit: I love the fact that is censored. Absolutely love it.

Sup. You're saying that anyone who disagrees with your specific point of view is a drone.

Fast enough for you?

It didn't help. I think the ending covers up the fact that Mass Effect 3 on its best day is a very average third person shooter with a mess of a control scheme (with particular reference to the PC controls, I played the demo and my god that was a horrible experience).

It isn't just the ending, it's the entire game. Next.

and so what? there extending the ending big deal and you guys asked for closure did you not?

I asked for a new ending, not closure. It's impossible to patch up the massive holes in the ending as it stands. Next.

 I'd just cut and run.

Just look at the polls here. The EC will satisfy maybe 20% of the fans. According to the rest it will be more like twisting the knife. Why even bother? Every day that passes the tone on BSN turns ever more negative. After the ending, it's every little flaw, perceived inconsistency and decrease in quality in ME3 that's being passed under the microscope. The consensus is clear, the game isn't worth sh*t (Actually it's down to circa $30, the joy was unanimous over that).

Sometimes, it's the thought that counts.  If Bioware tries to show even a semblance of artistic integrity toward clarifying/edifying their own work, it can restore consumer confidence in their ability to perform as a gaming company.

They can prove that Bioware is not a company that skimps out on important story parts (to their Story-driven game I might add) for the sake of cutting costs or incentivising DLC.. that they truly can still deliver a complete, coherent, well-drafted story out of the box.

I have to agree with OP on this too.

As stated before, I believe that BW tried to end the Shepard story arc and ended up killing ME altogether.
As the ending as is BW would have to pick up ME in distance future(1-2K years).
ME4:Return of Shepard(as reaper leader)
ME4: The Rebuilding(after all tech destroyed)
ME4: IROBOT Edition(well after that last choice)
OR as above start at 1-2k years after this so there would be no ME character from the first 3 games.

a small bit of me wants to see me3 fail on the scale some people seem to want. Im talking about that group who keep complaining that EA are the devil and are ripping anything original out of gaming for a bunch of CoD clones just to make money. That very same group who have done nothing but spew vitriol on a company who had the balls to do something different and make a trilogy where your previous games carry through the series ( im specifically not saying choices to avoid some very obvious responses ). Ok i admit it wasnt perfect but as far as i know its the first time any company has tried something on this scale and for a first attempt it was pretty damn impressive...

to close keep doing what you want bioware as far as im concerned you might not always hit exactly what you imagined ( or the fans demanded ) but its still better than the majority of games and im still enjoying it.

Speaking of which... can anyone dig up those old D&D license papers? What was the expiry date on those? I hear there's been some interesting stuff going on in the Forgotten realms universe.

The sooner we stop prolonging the agony over ME3, the sooner work on Baldur's Gate 3 can begin. What say ye?

Nooooo, Imagine BG2 if made by todays Bioware/EA

Lilarcor: 250 MSP
Carsomyr: 200 MSP

Viconia + Loyalty Mission: Day 1 DLC, free with collectors edition
Fighter Stronghold Quest: Day 1 DLC

Mandatory Multiplayer to access ending content

Fight With Red Dragon cut because "To videogamey"

Ending is explained to you by tiax, who is actually the representation of AO your are given three choices:

Door one: Explode leystones to Kill Irenicus, Plus all Elves, you yourself will die
Door two: Harness the magic of leystones to merge all races into one homogenized mess, you yourself will die
Door three: Control Irenicus and all dark elves, whilst also dying.

All choices will destroy magic within the forgotten realms.

So much ad hominem, i hope nobody took what you said seriously.

Not realistic, just very desensitized.

Closure was set as a bare minimum of what anti-end people wanted. You should know that by now.

Old school fans often become yes-men, that is when critisism becomes due. I am not saying you are, but it can be a convincing thought i must admit.

Many of the gamong sites critisize us without having the full picture, they will get very little love in return.

People like you sure as heck don't help. 2 months ain't crap, i was HC enough at my gaming high to play Halo 3 like 70 freaking times in 3 weeks, and spent 122 or so hours playing the multiplayer over the summer. Gamers can obsess man.

Gaming is for fun, but it really screws with the fun when people like BW end an otherwise great game series on such a messed up note.

Guys, guys, guys.... guys.... Don't forget that the people on this forum represent a tiny (but vocal) minority of ME3 players. A couple of million copies were sold... how many people have posted regularly on this forum? Certainly less than tens of thousands.

Nobody here is in a position of speaking for a significant number of users (never mind a majority).

Gonna go get some ice cream now!!

Well the 16 endings came from the official guide and then reposted on the net.  That being said, BioWare never promised 16 endings.

Note: I know that BioWare isn't responsible for the guide, but they haven't made corrections to it like they did for Mass Effect: Deception.  Whether BioWare truly believes there is 16 endings is anyone's guess.

Know how polls works?
Or statistically how many people doesn't take the time to complain for each one who does?
Search about those two facts, then we'll see who talk for a "tiny vocal minority" here.

I'm looking forward to the EC DLC. I just hope that it's good enough so that I can replay ME3 again. Until then I don't really see the point, just like any "pre-ending" DLC they release.

Sadly, the longer this goes on until the release the less I care about any of it.

Yet, a longer dev cycle equals a more polished product. For many (including myself) the EC is Bioware's last chance to prove that they are a company worth investing in.

I say give them all the time in the world.

As far as the Extended Cut, own it and do it justice, Bioware.  You owe it to yourself and your work, if not your fanbase.
