Editing the OP and the title to make it more accurate in light of Mike Gamble's recent tweet:

We record a *lot* of extra VO. We don't use all of it, and by not using something- it doesn't mean there was content attached to it to cut.

Looking at leaked script, it seems like they were also planning/considering (in early stages at least) to have an UI (user interface) where we would be assigning our War Assets during the battle, Suicide Mission-style:

CUTSCENE:
A second Reaper fleet arrives in orbit of Earth. Harvesters start launching from the Reapers, and descend towards earth in a massive swarm.

Conversation:

Shepard / Hackett / Anderson decide to move quickly to organize a defense to hold off the Reapers in orbit from reaching the Citadel and to keep the Harvesters away from the London facility.

GUI:

Hammer resolution: summary of performance of the Hammer striketeam and casualty report.

Shield planning: assign strike teams for orbital and planetary operations to defend against the Reaper counterattack.

Now I can't wait for EC even more! Summer hurry up! :D

It's clear they they are taking part in the final battle o.O VERY interesting, so Bioware DID plan to show our squadmates in the final battle :o Let's hope it gets restored in EC


Yup.  Both of these sadden me deeply.  

Of course, still wouldn't matter with the crap endings, but these are beautiful little bits.

From Jack's dialog it seems her biotic squad was going to be there too.
You know, the one where you decide if they should fight on the front lines or not, implying that they were actually going to freaking matter in the final battle.

Despite it being a damn shame this wasn't in the ending, this all seems like prime material to make it back in the Extended Cut. These are the sorts of things we want playing out in the final battle

It definitely makes me much more positive we will see war assets in action during final battle in EC. First the cut 'Reaper retake Citadel" stuff, now this.

Woah... That's awesome. I'd have adored that final battle if you could position war assets in the battle. Probably asking too much for that to be in the EC though? :(

The fact that they have this on file means that only minor adjustments would have to be done for it to be included as actual cinematic content. This excites me.

No, I think all this cut content is exactly the kind of stuff we can expect in EC. Why make something new when you can restore your ideas you didn't have time implement, no?

Damn thanks Hellfire! Nice find! So they DID plan to have our War Assets featured! Yes this make me so much more hopefull for EC! Adding to OP!
