I'm not saying the March 2 update happened solely for this (because DA:2 was another reason), but you have to wonder.

Damn shame too, I would have loved to have had Zaeed by my side in battle against the reapers.

I'm insanely depressed knowing that a good finale to this series existed... and it came so far... only for the very most rewarding and promising moments of the franchise to be ruined in the last mission and then destroyed in the final 10 minutes.
Bioware, I don't know if it was money, pressure, executive meddling, or what... but I'm sorry.
The soul of the franchise I loved is lingering on in the data, in the cut content, but what I see in the end is not that soul, and that really upsets me.
And now my biggest fear is the series has been nuked so hard it can never recover, and the last words the game will ever tell us is "buy more downloadable content".
This. So much this.
I remember tearing up as I read Bungie's heart-felt goodbye to their fans during the credits of Halo: Reach (the line "see you star-side" is so goddamn awe-inspiring
We deserved more than an advertisement for DLC upon completing ME3.

Obsidian was(is) a developer independent of Lucas Arts. Bioware is wholly owned by EA. There's no seperation there so they can't do anything on their own without an okay from EA. There is no Bioware the developer anymore, there is bioware the brand owned by EA. And we know from past history EA has no issue with trashing their own brands.
Well if that's true then Obsidian utterly deserved the backlash and should have stood thier ground. But in any case it may have been a different scenario but the outcome was the same.

This game is clearly far from finished. So many great ideas, and so much great material like this, was left behind on the forced march to March 6. We may never get an "official", insider answer, but it seems clear that EA simply wasn't willing to invest the time and money to do the game justice.
It's sad, since we all realize just how great a game this could've been.

no I mean post game-release/contract the situation was different. Not while they were working on the game.

WTF is wrong with you, Bioware? You push out a crappy ending, have the audacity to tell your fanbase we dont understand your 'artistic integrity,' then we have to find out for ourselves that the ending may've been actually worth something at some point?! without ANY indication company-side that content had to be cut from the ending to meet deadlines?!
I would choke every member of Bioware's ME studio right now with the sac of a krogans quad right now.

This bull**** is infuriating. I continue to lose more and more respect for Bioware.
Perhaps Ray should have stood up to EA and made it known that Bioware would not compromise. No respect for him either.
Stop with the damn lies!!! And go to hell with your damn EC.

That's what happen when you run out of time and money and EA doesn't want to delay the game.
Artistic integrity my ass.
I am ANGRY!
I was upset with the ending, and felt it betrayed the ideals of Bioware's entire trilogy, but now that THIS has been discovered?
the FANBASE had to find cut material from what mayve been a more representative ending, instead of Bioware just admitting they had to cut content due to time comstraints?! Instead, Bioware screams Artistic Integrity, when they have no actual integrity at all! They wont even own up to their own flaws or issues!
Bioware, WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU

Stop with the damn lies!!!
Hudson is out on family time. Turns out he had a vacation scheduled long before the ending fiasco.
Im not big on ruining his time with his family, as it IS well deserved, (he was working on ME3 for quite some time) so Im waiting patiently for him to answer all his hatemail in the next couple of months.

I like the Russian rumor thingy. About BioWare telling EA to go away so they could make there OWN game, but bit off more than they could chew, thus the general "meh" of ME3. Makes sense to me, and I trust the Russians when it comes to leaks, thanks to Mortal Kombat,

And that means EA is to blame as well as Bioware for joining the evil corporation. Let's keep that stock price dropping.Ansible wrote...
Ah, here is my suicide mission like endgame!! Time and money, BioWare. All you needed to say. Not "Artistic Integrity" Not "We didn't know there was a huge demand for it" Just: "TIME and MONEY"

What bright mind at Bioware decided not to put that in game?
Budget, important budget - aka.. would rather spend more important resources on Starchild dialogue than important characters from the last two games, shocking.

Strong indication that Bioware threw out an unfinished product. They wanted more but I'm betting EA forced them to put it out when they did. If they don't complete the game to their original intention, it's clear I can't waste time or money on them anymore.
Yeah there was no chance of it getting delayed further than March, EA wanted it in their 2011 financial report.
