Well comparing it to the ME3 ending which for me is a much more emotional series, the WoW ending to Cata isn't really all that bad. ME3 ending however....there is no words.

Funnily enough there is a comment there saying *still better than ME3 ending* haha

Well I figure Nintendo won't mess up New Super Mario Bros 2 ending. Hey sometimes not having a deep plot has it's advantages!

Mind you Diablo 1 was the benchmark for terrible endings back in it's day.

I always thought that was a bizarre thing to do.  They managed to work it into a way to make D2.

Is the majority of prototype 2 good at least? I imagine the gameplay is more the focus than the story in that, unlike ME

It is in my subjective opinion, that the end of a journey does not matter, because all it does is mark the beggining of a new one.

I went for a walk to the store, and saw some fantastic views of the mountains and was passed by a Nissan GT-R, which was my dream car. it was fantastic. Then I was run over by a bus.

Guess which part of that everyone would remember and care about?

Last year fashion was the number 3. (Killzone 3, UC3, GOW3 etc) This years fashion is awful endings.

 Bit off topic, but Rockstar was mainly just the publisher on LA Noire though, they didn't actually develop it from what I remember.

At least it made sense, didn't feel rushed and was pretty well written. On a plus note the game has paradox endings to soothe your broken heart. Yay for Snow!

extreme example that doesn't apply to ME 3.

And let's not forget the terrible ending to the Titanic movie either. You know, when the woman in her 90's decides to toss the giant royal gemstone - the one that the undersea ship explorer has banked his entire enterprise on finding - into the ocean to symbolize her feelings of being at peace with her life or some other such nonsense. Kind of a **** thing to do.

There is still potential out there and I guarantee these games will not have worse endings than ME3. Trust me, it can't get worse than ME3. Even the I Am Alive ending was better than ME3 and that ending was terrible.

Completely forgot about that game. The only thing that stood out to me about it was the facial animations.

The only game whose ending could rival ME3's in disappointment is Assassin's Creed 3. Like ME, it's the conclusion of the whole saga in a very story-oriented game, and also like ME3 it has a bunch of hanging plot threads it will need to resolve in order to be accepted.

Halo 4 I'm less worried about, partly because it's the start of a new trilogy rather than the end, and partly because 90% of Halo fans will be content as long as the multiplayer is fun.

Well, I have The Witcher 2 right now to revisit and I already know that it has a good ending.

Listen if the world ends and I'm alive to witness it, then it isn't diappointing. It means I'm part of the last batch of humans who gets to say we actually beat Humanity. Everyone before us were just quitters.

Also seriously, the apocalypse - best way to go out!

There's also a bit later on where he complains that being denied a final confrontation with the ultimate bad guy isn't any kind of true ending.

Or scared... like I am.... I think I'm taking it OK, still complain, but, after watching School Days unedited anime end. Most "endings" are generally better... hmmm maybe I should rewatch the series to make me feel better about ME3....
