Right, installed it again, worked for 2 seconds got to the title screen and crashed. Try to start the game again and it just crashes even before the bioware screen comes up. Over the past few weeks I've been trying to get it to play. It's played about 10 times now after many re-installs. Since I bought the game i've tried to start it about 50 times and task manager told me it was 'Not Responding' (except the times it's worked) . I've tried the EACore.dll and AWC.dll tricks. I've tried the vid_fix solution. I even double clicked on the EACoreServer.exe file then tried opening ME 3. Is it my PC that is going wrong or something?

Specs:

WindowsXP SP3
AMD Athilon Black Edition 7750+ X2 2.7GHz Dual-Core
2GB ram
233GB hard disk (20GB free)
GeForce GTS 450

All I wanna do is properly play this awesome game. But something is stopping me from doing it! Please help I'm at the end of my teather. I may just refund it and never play it again I'm getting that annoyed. Please someone help.

I don't know what specifically is happening, but I can almost guarantee you the problem is not on your end. This game is riddled with problems, very few of which have been resolved. I'm sorry that whatever problem is messing up your configuration causes you to not be able to even play. Keep this thread going, and keep looking on these forums for situations that approximate yours.

Can suggest the usual list of things to try, they generally don't make much difference, but you could get lucky. Closing background programs, checking your drivers are updated and running the program under admin privilages which should be found with the compatibility settings.

It's the first things I get told to try when anything doesn't work properly on my machine.

Also check your directx is up-to-date web install can be found here, sounds stupid but have had a few games fail because a dx file was missing but was on the game's installation disc.

Make sure not to use EVGA Precision. I had the same issues and ME3 is not compatible with EVGA Precision, for whatever dumb reason.

Re: EVGA precision I used the last but one release for almost all my playthrough without any difficulties (GTX 260 w/2.xx version i.e. not Precision X)
