these are just a few of my thoughts, maybe you feel the same way. I don't hate people who promote  I would like to hear reasons why others don't do it too

Im tired of promoting and rebuilding characters

I want max level characters to play gold with whatever I want

I don't care about -increasing- my n7 rank

I like the number I'm on

Getting a higher n7 rank is kinda lame and I don't want to be that way

Promoting is pointless, no reward

I just play for fun with friends (who also don't promote)

I only promoted 2 characters for that one event. Sadly I promoted them just before the event went online and I got nothing.
Reminds me of the time I deleted my tf2 inventory the day before crafting was revealed.

I'm with you though, to hell with the n7 rank.

I don't see how a high N7 is somehow "lame".

Other than that, they're fairly valid reasons. All N7 means after around 100 is how often you like promoting things, anyway.

Or doesn't like the SP. It sort of happens.

Funny thing is that I think MP is the saving grace of ME3. I was in the skeptics pool until I tried the demo and was sold. ME3, unlike ME2, has about >< that much SP replay value for me. It's just...dismal. But that sentiment belongs elsewhere so enough of that.

If you seriously haven't had to promote several times to try tweaking a spec, then I don't want you in my Gold matches.

Hrm I guess I'm a little weird in this regard.. Let me try to explain

Some people love to get high n7 ranks and think that reflects skill, i disagree. Some people even enjoy sitting at a high n7 and thinking everyone below them is worse. I want to avoid this. When it comes to playing with friends I even go so far as to let them finish off targets and get higher scores, often cc'ing or almost killing guys and then walking away.

Like I said guess I'm a little weird. When it comes to fighting games (which I play a lot of) I tend to avoid top tier characters and instead rely on characters I like. This happens in mass effect. I like to play a lot of different chars but when I see everyone use a salarian, I'm turned off by it.

I think I may have issues now that I'm typing this out lol

Considering how annoying it is to get Rare weapons and/or characters, I promote instead of resetting. If I reset, then it's pretty much a guarantee that the next Rare card I get will be a reset card, which is a complete waste to me. Though when you have all your Rare weapons at rank 10, there's no reason not to use power resets all the time, since Rares cards become pretty much worthless.

Oh I should clarify a few things..

I've promoted like 7 times
I'm pretty decent at this game lol
I don't hate people who promote and get off on it, I get it
I guess I sound like a wannabe hipster lol (pretty funny)
Also I really liked single player, beat it twice both times with well over the pretty bar in war assets

Doesn't the first reason contradict the next two?
I think I'm finished leveling at 300.  All my characters are level 20, but I'm happy just playing my SE, TA and AA.

to me, reset cards save me hours of mindless grinding a class back up to 20 when i could do it instantly and be back at full potential.

My N7 is currently locked at 240 because I don't really care to promote and re-level classes I don't play as much but still want to have available for Gold runs on a whim. I would probably be over N7 500 if I promoted every time I reached level 20 with a class.

I promoted I think two or three classes, then stopped when I realized my war assets weren't really changing. There's really no point in promoting for war assets when my score is already over 7k anyways.

My N7 rank is sitting around 190 or so, and see no reason to up it.
