I don't care about my n7 rank
I like the number I'm on
Getting a higher n7 rank is kinda lame and I don't want to be that way
I think I'm finished leveling at 300. All my characters are level 20, but I'm happy just playing my SE, TA and AA.
I guess you're right lol... I do care, I just don't care about increasing it lol, I'll fix

Seriously, some people base skill from your N7 level, whichI personally don't. Anyway, I'm fine with the builds I have, and also have 3 reset powers cards in case I want to mix things up. My N7 level of 240 is decent enough I think for people to "trust" me, even in Gold.

Hrm I guess I'm a little weird in this regard.. Let me try to explain
Some people love to get high n7 ranks and think that reflects skill, i disagree. Some people even enjoy sitting at a high n7 and thinking everyone below them is worse. I want to avoid this. When it comes to playing with friends I even go so far as to let them finish off targets and get higher scores, often cc'ing or almost killing guys and then walking away.
Like I said guess I'm a little weird. When it comes to fighting games (which I play a lot of) I tend to avoid top tier characters and instead rely on characters I like. This happens in mass effect. I like to play a lot of different chars but when I see everyone use a salarian, I'm turned off by it.
I think I may have issues now that I'm typing this out lol
Well if you disagree with the fact, what makes you think that you having a high N7 will suddenly make you think like the people that think that N7 = skill? It seems like you're avoiding things that the "elitists" do to avoid being like them, but all you have to do is just disagree with how they act and not act like it. I did it for years on WoW while having all the best gear, but not being a complete jerk and thinking I was so much more skilled than everyone else(Mostly because getting gear never took skill and I wasn't more skilled than a lot of players).
Not playing top tier things I can understand if you just like the character/weapon, or are sick of seeing the top tier thing everywhere. I usually just play whatever I enjoy the most with complete disregard for the "best", even though I do figure out what that best is. I've been playing quite a bit of Soldier lately even though the general consensus here is that they're not viable on gold.

You're an idiot. The syntax "my match," "my gold match," "my last match," etc. is correct. If you think that "my" always implies possession then you're an idiot. If I'm going to spend 20-30 minutes of MY (possession implied this time) time doing something, I want to do everything I can to lower the likelihood of sharing my time with some idiot who will simply frustrate me and increase the likelihood of failure.

I hate cheap war assets - promoting is like cheating in SP.BoomDynamite wrote...
You sir hate war assets.
Speaking of which, they are probably going to be part of Hammer and die - cant have that happen to Bragus Thul, the galaxy needs his 69-yard passes.

I don't really care about someone's N7 score as such, though. I mean mine's pretty high but I'm terrible. The best player I ever played with had an N7 score of 19. So yeah. Doesn't mean much.

Regardless, I don't have too much time to play (grad school), so I don't promote. I like to play gold as often as possible, and I'd rather not play through boring bronze matches to get to a decent level.

for other promotions, I liked the single player game endings
you get from doing everything you can in SP.
As for respecs... I respec and experiment a ton. Still have
over 20 respec cards from the "good ol days" where there
was no cap on the number you could accumulate.
Hopefully, the respec cards under the current distribution
algorithm are easy to come by, and I won't be forced to
promote whenever my 20+ cards run out.

promoting has no benefits for this reason other than to serve as a grind back to where you were.
Respec cards come often enough that if i should want to do something different i just use them

Indeed. Tony S. also wished he had more war assets at the end - so keep promoting those MP chars.

This and almost soley this. I've been N7 120 since the first week, but I'm not affecting my SP just so I can relevel my MP for no reason other than a rank increase. I even ignored the event for promoting due to not wanting the added war assets.
As I've said before, if Bioware gave you an option to turn off MP war assets/galactic readiness, I'd have no issue promoting...although it still seems pointless without some type of reward for doing so.
