not interested in promoting my rank at all,
i usually know the lvl of my teamates just looking at their weapon selection or rank for each class rather than by their n7 ranks..if seen some bizarre things like a lvl 700 krogan soldier just with geth SMG...and of course human vanguards with widow-jabelin...or a class like adepts that supposedly should be using tons of powers equiped with 2 heavy weapons...

if they say only players with >300n7 rank can play next weeks operation, then count me out that weekend cuz im not promoting any character at all

I only care about N7 ranks when I see that rare animal N71 in a lobby and think, "Cool, we can help this guy level up, let's do our damnedest to revive him so he doesn't get frustrated and quit."

I promote because I like to respec and try different builds/races/classes/weapons. Respec cards are cool and all, but how many of those do you actually get x how many matches you play? For me, not that many.

I get respec cards quite often. Not everyone does, I know, but a lot of us do.

Mine is 240 and It's been like that for a long time now.

I don't like promoting, I want my classes at max level for playing gold.

I don't care about raising my N7 rank.

If I want to respec I'll play another character and wait for a respec card, I get them quite often anyway.

I'm at 464 right now and the only class I really like to rock is the Krogan Soldier. What I do to keep things interesting is promote my other class's after they reach 20. No point in making em collect dust. To each their own I guess. Some people dig the promoting, others don't. I have many friends that do either or.

My N7 is 74 or something and don't see that changing anytime soon.

I dont play singleplayer: Dont need War Assets.
I have respec cards: Dont need to relevel.
I only like/play three characters: Human Adept,Human Engineer,Human Soldier.(although I do have most the race/classes unlocked)

Im fine with being kicked from Public Gold matches,I have 100 ME3 players on my friends list that will accept me for Gold.  =)

I'm stopping at 1337 no matter what, even if I have to never play an Infiltrator again.

You sir hate war assets.

I got the best on war assests without a single promote. and I forum lurk a lot, so I already know my builds for every class by heart tweaked by my playstyle. lol.

I don't ever promote (apart from that weekend event) because I basically don't care about the "journey" (grinding) whatsoever, as what truly matters is getting where you want or need to be at.

It's sort of pointless, I've assigned most of my skills correctly on my first try, why would I even try promoting them? Not to mention the negative skill points bug.

...and I don't need war assets, I'm not sure why YOU need it at all. It doesn't really change anything. :innocent:

MP provides a unique opportunity to mix things up and I'm making the most of it! I like to try different builds/weapon combinations with the variety of classes and races it makes for a lot of fun imho. Since I don't use respect card, I promote. I really don't care about the N7 level of war assets since I already have what I need and that the N7 level is no indicator at all of anyone skill.

Like someone said before, I enjoy the journey much more than the destination.

Hmm... my main reason is to try different specs or small variations on the spec i was currently using. Currently i think my N7 rating sits around 700, i'm just wondering if your current N7 Rating affects let's say a new SP game? And to be honest some classes are fun to level up unlike others.

If i had ~100 promotes, 1 promote = 75 War assets? 750 war assets. Will this be the starting number?

I promoted all of my classes once (making it a total of N7 300), and intended to leave it at that permanently. However, Operation Raptor came along and so I promoted another 2 characters to get the Commendation Pack. Henceforth, I'll only promote characters for special events; I don't find levelling up characters particularly enjoyable, so unless I really need to change someone's build (and there are Respec Cards for that), I don't intend to promote anyone else.

N7 speaks experience to me, so if your N7<100 you aren't playing gold with me or my team. We don't have time to waste 50 minutes on gold & reviving you 35 times.

I promote because one day people will be too bored to play the multiplayer, but I'll want to play the singleplayer again. And I'll look at that EMS score and go "Ah, good, war assets. No need to depend on that multiplayer ever again."

Or that's what the paranoia tells me.

I like promoting because it keeps things fresh for me, at least for the time being.

I played like almost one month without promoting. Then I had most of my gold weapons maxed out. So I think if they ARE maxed out then there is nothing more what can increase. Its just playing without any rewards for it. Thats why I decided to start to promote to add a bit more fun since I dont think that this MP will keep me many month playing it. And leveling up/romoting makes the buying of spectre packs less frustrating since I prefer XP cards more than upgrade for weapons which I dont use anyways. There are only like 5 weapons which Im using and I dont care about the other weapons.

So the only good thing in promoting is a small reward for playing this game a lot. Better than playing and just only stuff which I dont need.

Keeping a low N7 rank is just boring. I like to have a clean slate and try different builds and stuff, promoting also gives purpose to character cards after you hit level 20.

I've promoted 10 or 11 times so far.

I'm just going to get my N7 rank to over 200 so I won't be kicked out of gold games all the time.

For silver and gold matches, if they don't have a high n7 rating, they better have good weapons. Those are really the only way I can tell without knowing the guy, whether or not he'll just drag the rest of us down.

No point of having higher than 200. Lower than that and elitists kick you from gold.

I only want to promote to allow me to have enough war assets to see me through to 5000 at 50% galactic readiness.
