The companion interactions for me too. And just dialogue in general.
What are you looking forward to the most in DA?

I am looking forward to the combat, especially the high level stuff. I have been waiting so long for an engaging pause and play game. Plus you know people are gonna create some fun monsters with the toolset. It all just gets me so GIDDY!

The return to a classic BG1/2 overhead style of play - I love that.
Otherwise the NEWness of the game - something not rehashed over and over.
Also the toolset - huge creator fan

Dwarves that actually look good, have a complex social hierarchy and no faux-Scottish accent.

I'm looking forward to the story and playing different origins. Choices and consequences. Having to actually think and stratigize during combat, which is lacking in alot of games.

I'm really looking forward to exploring the cool new game world Bioware have created. The Forgotten Realms and Middle Earth are cool, but it will be great to explore new places and meet new npcs and not have any idea about what is going to happen next.

im looking forward to how much harm i can do to the elves and dwarves.
hopefully game choices will be such that i can be the catalyst for the genocide of these two sub human species.
that is unless of course bioware actually does what no one except wendy pini has been capable of doing, and that is making dwarves and elves actually FEEL like another species as opposed to "pointy eared tree-hugging humans" or "midgets who live underground". (well no one else im aware of)
i don't necessarily hate dwarves and elves, i just hate the "fake" versions of them that writers tend to take and just slap on human elements to them and call it a different "race" or "species" or whatnot.

I'm looking forward to see Orzammar and explore it by myself. After that, i'm interested to see how the world reacts to me beeing a dwarf in conversations for example.<br />
Ahh, and i want to see armor and weapons crafted by dwarves and for dwarves. I don't care about pointy swords and shining staffs, as long as "i can get me trusty ol' ax"

I'm really looking forward to interacting with the different NPCs, and not just with the companions. There are sooo many really interesting characters... it's kinda overwhelming, but in a cool way. I may never stop playing this game once I get it.

Good question!
I still think, that Fallout 1 and 2 is the best games to date! I tend sometimes to compare everything with Fallout.
SO!
My biggest expectations from DA are:
- excellent capturing story
- feel of the world [ambiance, if you will]
If these conditions isn't met - oh, well.
Maybe, maybe...

NPC Interaction for me. KOTOR and Mass Effect had some of this but the most memorable Bioware games are still Baldur's Gate 2 IMO.
Every remembers Boo, the pet hamster! Minsc was always talking to it.

Just experiencing the world and this entirely new story. I'm excited to be able to play in a fantasy world that's grown up and doesn't pull any punches.
Someone mentioned the snark, oh I can't wait for that too!
