I god that really is Shepard's last words isn't it!? Anderson goes out on "I'm proud of you" and all Shepard gets it "I don't know."
That sucks so much.

His last words are "and there will be peace?"

People are just being retarded at this point.

Shep is barly conscious. He's bleeding out. Oh look 15-50 seconds later he passes out.

I know you bleed out to that point. Come up with better words. Just sayin

Can't be that tired given how he pretty much runs up to the tube he's shooting. And how he survives that big ass 'splosion. And the one following the first.

why Mac Walters was lead writer?

I don't either.

So the fans were right after all?

Yes, but the fans could have never taken control because Bioware already controled them.

That line really sums up nicely what is wrong with those endings. I just facepalmed.

"This is good... isn't it?"

I believe: "You can take your infantile apparitions and shove it!" would have been preferable.

I died, but it's logical to say that when facing a seemingly (or am I thinking seemlessly?) undefeatable threat.

The writers shouldn't have written him like a drooling idiot in the most important scene of the whole trilogy. Just because there's an explanation for that doesn't make it any better. They might as well have had the Catalyst attack Shepard with a gun that destroys his brain cells and it wouldn't have been any better.

What Shepard's final lines should have been (survival ending scenario):

SCENE: On Normandy, bridge. SHEPARD walks up to stand behind JOKER, who looks over his shoulder at SHEPARD.

JOKER: Board is green, Commander. The Normandy is fully functional again. So, what's the next mission? Where are we going?

SHEPARD: Wherever we want, Joker. Wherever we want.

...Or something like that. Point is, Shepard's final lines should have been a nod to the fact that the series was all about player choice.

'I don't know'

Couldn't have said it better myself, shepard.

Damn...just like Marauder Shields, this will be an epic example of 'screwing up a story.'
How hard could it have been to let Shep mutter "Sorry...I..love..you." after jumping in the beam, shooting the machine or grabbing the rods?

/facepalm

The last words in the game shouldn´t have been said by Shepard. It shouldve been more like:

Starchild:"You can control...(gets shot in the face upon the word control)."

Shepard:"Y U NO GIVE GOOD SOLUTION?"

So much THIS.

4th ending should incorporate the last words as "I should go."

Mass Effect: the saga where your last combat opponent is one of the generic zombies you've fought throughout the series and your last words are "I don't know." Wow!

Or as Shep breathes his dying breath he utters, "Wrex."

And down on Earth you can hear the faint Krogan whisper, "Shepard."

I don't care if it is saccharine sweet...I would have loved to at least have had the *option* for an ending like this.
