Singularity rank 6 Detonate only triggers when the SIngularity times out. You just made this happen after TWENTY FIVE SECONDS. So you made an awful talent even worse.

I always chose Expand anyway. Takes forever for it to detonate if that evolution is chosen.
Besides, even if it did detonate, I doubt many mobs would be caught in it anyway. Unless the detonation can be triggered by BDs, too?

Detonate was already awful and they managed to make it worse.

Example, one person chose expand the other chose the blow up, they combine together and it starts to expand drawing things in (even with shields?!?) and after it ends it goes boom with the damage upgrade, or double the growth rate/double explosion damage.
Afterthought, the CD would have to be raped to stop people from spaming it though....

So, the singularity changes were pointless.
You want to make singularity/human adepts a semi decent choice? Make it so that the detonation "500 damage" actually goes off when you self biotic detonate it, rather than just have it run out. The raw group damage you would get from that, might make it worth the time you have to spend stripping shields.

Singularity Power
- Base duration that enemies are held in the air increased from 4 to 6 seconds
- Base singularity duration increased from 15 to 25 seconds
- Evolution 3 damage per second increased from 20 to 50
- Evolution 4 recharge speed bonus increased from 30% to 35%
- Evolution 6 detonation damage increased from 300 to 500
- Evolution 6 detonation radius increased from 5 meters to 7 meters
Yeah, the rank 6 power just got worse. I can't imagine waiting 25 seconds for the singularity to expire to get the 500 damage. But the other changes help it a VERY little bit if you are using it as a fire and forget trap. But usually it is going to be for a biotic explosion. The first change, time held in air, is the best of the changes.
Singularity is still VASTLY weaker than Stasis and the new changes dd not help it much. Singularity still needs a big buff.

50 a second means you can kill a gold husk in 19 seconds...

It was hard enough trying to use it as a timed bomb when it lasted 15 seconds, 25 makes it impossible.
Rank 6 detonate evolution should make a singularity last a significantly shorter time so that it can actually be used as a timed bomb. Don't really care if that means they need to nerf the damage on it, it would actually be useful then.
No reason to ever take anything but expand now.

Singularity is for crowd control. 6th tier detonate upgrade adds a bit of extra damage. If you want explosions, detonate with throw and save the talent point
Edit to add: Unless you want to solo matches, in which case you're screwed.

If you're able to Warp -> Shockwave or you're Warping for someone else, you'll be using Singularity a lot more to lock down an area/chokepoint. It certainly suffers as you go up in difficulty and have fewer unprotected enemies, though.

I like the rank 4 upgrades. Rank 5's upgrades are still pretty pitiful; the 50 damage/second is still a weak DOT effect when compared with just about any other one in the game. I'd rather see something like singularity being able to powerfully stagger armored/shielded enemies as an evolution. The other rank 5 option could just be the variation of Expose from Pull, where lifted enemies take 25% more damage.
The rank 6 ones are really weak. Singularity in single player is a set-it-and-forget-it-power; in multiplayer, when the adept only has shockwave and warp, you can just leave one power on chill mode. Adding the detonation damage to biotic detonations would make it pretty good. The expanding radius one is cute, but I honestly think it should almost be instant. Singularity really needs to have a bigger radius than Stasis bubble if it's going to be the signature power for the human adept.
