Last night when playing, a notification popped up stating that I was a Master Warden. After looking at the rule book I saw nothing that helped me understand what that is. So, what does it mean? Also, I am playing multiple characters trying out different styles, moving them along the game, each one through some areas, then switching to another character. When Master Warden happens is it only for that character, or is it a game event and applies to all characters and future new characters?
Thanks for any opinions.

Actually I am pretty sure that Master Warden is 500 kills, Blight Queller is 1000.

it wont give me the achievements for killing darkspawn!!

when i last checked my stats page it said i'd killed 445 darkspawn, (and that was half way through orzammar). i've since completed that, and the 'return to ostagar' dlc. so i must have topped over 500 darkspawn by now.

but i dont have the GREY WARDEN achievement for killing 100 darkspawn, or the MASTER WARDEN for 500....

anyone else had problems, not being awarded achievements??

Yes, these achievements (500 & 1000) are messed up. The consensus from this and other boards is that there is a magical darkspawn counter that we cannot see that only includes kills made by the main character, possibly across all playthroughs.

Apparently, we have also established that Bioware/EA will not tell us what the exact criteria for these achievements is, as they seem to have changed as of the latest update.

the xbox achievement guide site seems to think that kills can be made by the whole party to get the achievement. and through multiple play throughs.

i now have just under 700 darkspawn kills and counting lol

On the PC, I got the first two on my first playthrough and the last early on in my second, so the counter is across playthroughs at least. I am so glad I didn't get the bugs.

its so annoying..

i wonder if i'll get it next play through, or if the bug will still be in effect?!?!?!

its strange the way glitches happen. you'd think if one persons game on the console glitched, everyones games would..

but not the case...

on fallout 3, my game was great, none of the annoying glitches that everyone suffered (and that was the glitchiest game i know of, apart from mercenaries) but on my fiances game, same disc, same console, same dlc, his game was full of glitches!!! everything that had ever been reported, and then some!! and his game would crash at least once every time he played...

Hello community, I have some great news for you all! I am like many of you trying to get my platinum trophy and screwed over by the Master Warden and Blight-Queller trophies. After many trials and errors and a heaping helping of research I have made a discovery! The trophy is not bugged at all, it is just not properly worded!

The darkspawn counter that shows the number killed in your heroic accomplishments counts kills made by all characters, whereas the counter for the trophy counts ONLY kills made by your player-created character WHILE being controlled by you.

So for instance if your character makes a kill while you are controlling Alistair that will not count towards the trophy, but will count towards the Heroic Accomplishments.

The easiest way to get the trophy is to get to the Final Battle, and after the first battle area when you talk to Riordan to choose your party, choose to take ONLY yourself into battle.

1.) Immediately travel to the Alienage
2.) Tell the elves to leave
3.) Turn the difficulty to Casual
4.) Save
5.) Clear out all darkspawn
6.) Travel to Palace District
7.) Defeat short battle with party members left behind
8.) Clear out all darkspawn in Palace District
9.) Reload at Alienage
10.) Rinse and repeat!

~Note~ If you die fighting darkspawn, it is not a big deal, the counter WILL count the kills ou made before you died.

I have confirmed this myself (On PS3 only, but I am relatively sure it will work the same on Xbox), please pass it along!
