If you could create an ME style weapon and put it in the game, what would it be?

To explain: It's basically the standard edition Mass Effect 2 Omega 4 Big God Damn Heroes gun. It fires carefully placed Mass Effect 2 Suicide Mission Soundtrack Reaper Piercing rounds which tear through reapers like butter making the Mass Effect 3 ending an instant WIN! It can be used as a heavy weapon in multiplayer, but only ONCE and when I say ONCE I mean only ONCE, because it's so powerful that you won't need to do anything else after you fire it. If you shoot it at any time during a match, in any wave, you will kill every hostile organism that can ever be generated in the game EVER, this including team leechers, but excluding true comrades in arms due to its very advanced quantum entanglement targeting system and it will end the multiplayer permanently for everyone because there won't be anything left to kill and there will be peace between everyone, geth, quarians, asari, turian, salarians, humans, volus, and so on... thus achieving a true and satisfying ending for both single and multiplayer with one god damn shot. The ultimate alternative to the handheld crucible. One shot, maximum satisfaction.

i don't think there could be anything better than what you just described...M920CAIN wrote...

That's a very interesting idea. I definitely would have enjoyed using the cooldown on my Asari vanguard in mp.
Thanks. I've played Biotics since ME1 (never really got turned on to tech classes and soldiers), and I've always wanted to be able to dish out unbridled biotic wrath, without the use of weapons (like how Samara and Jack fight in dialogue sequences and cutscenes).

Yep I know exactly what you mean. I like using the guns as much as I like biotics, but for classes like the vanguard it's crucial to have great biotics for when you run out of ammo.level4paperboy wrote...

For Assault Rifles, just need a under slug grenade launcher
rather than carrying a damn heavy Falcon or Scorpion.
Snipers? Something like a M82 will be enough
Does a ton of damage with a 5-8 round mag and good accuracy, semi-automatic,
at cost of high weight.
Shotguns? Full Auto mode with a 10 round mag should be good enough (USAS or MK3A1)
Pistols? No idea...
SMG? I'd rather create carbines...

hmm an m82 like weapon feels redundant when theres already widows and bw (in regards to dmg and role), if the difference is mag size then becasue of balance the weapon would most certainly be just a Saber that goes in the SR slot, if you still want to keep dmg and mag then you would need to apply quite lengthy reloads and time between shots, plus some massive recoil.
Full auto shotguns sound interesting for ME , though IMO they suck in real life, still good thing that ME is not real life.
Carbines sound nice but better added to the smg slot (that way they can better complement the grenade guns and the nature of most AR), just with a change of animations (I remember cerberus troopers having 2h anim for the locust), the "class" could be started by fixing the locust so it stops sucking and adding 1 or 2 more carbines plus giving the carbines 2h animations.

the spitifire fills that function, would be nice still for it to be a standard loadout choice, instead of a heavy weapon pick, in which case they can just add the geth smg to the SP game since its essentially a scaled down spitfire

The type of weapon illustrated in the video isn't one you can just pick up and fire.
It is fixed in place and used as a manual gun turret. Anything that fires 4000 rounds would be huge, heavy and judging by the ME 3 weight system will give you a cooldown penality of 4000%. Also you'd physically move slowly, be unable to perform combat rolls, take cover, slide over cover etc.
Sure you'd be able to kill a banshee in less than two seconds, but you'd also be flanked and out manouvered easily. There are turret sections of the game on a Palaven moon, Earth, Thessia, Rannoch etc.

Way to crush my dreams of cutting brutes, banshees, primes and atlases down like freakin' trees...

Carbines are a very interesting idea. However, they are just assualt rifles with shorter barrels, designed to be compact. But since LMGs fall under the category of assault rifles in the ME universe, carbines would fit nicely into the SMG slot. IMO though, they would have to have a slightly slower rate of fire, greater accuracy, smaller magazines and slightly more damage, considering the fact that carbines shoot AR rounds. But this could make for a formidable weapon. One of my favorite guns in real life is the the Diablo PDW/PDS. It is in fact a carbine but it's manufacturers consider it to be a SMG because it was designed to put as many rounds down range as possible, so your carbine idea could work with great potential. Could even become my vavorite weapon type in the game.zaku257 wrote...

On another note, your full-auto shotgun is another good idea, but it should only have at the maximum 10 rounds. It's damage would also have to be lowered, slightly lower than the Schimitar, and the accuracy improved. A real life gun infamous for those very principles is the AA-12, another one of my favorites. I could talk about guns for hours lol.zaku257 wrote...
