This is very well presented and thought out, thank you.

It's just so sad that Bioware won't consider this as a way to appease the crowd, and put some form of continuity BACK into this story.

There's a link in my sig that doesn't include IT, but it does a fine job of tying up the loose ends, while providing closure.

Thank you again, and good night all.

Because IT isn't necessarily as widely accepted as some of the adoptees would have you think? Just a thought. Not everyone would be happy or 'accept' IT as something they'd want in game. If IT popped up, I may as well just chuck my copy in the firepit.

People have already done that. They hate the ending and unless there's a better solution that someone can come up with, I'm all for IT. I'd even rebuy a new Collector's editon to support IT. [I already traded in my game for Witcher 2]

There is just too much proof for them to deny it... it would shatter my respect in Bioware if they just came out and stuck with the crap as it is. I don't see how they could explain it any other way.

Not gonna lie, whatever BW is plotting right now scares the gamer outta me. They have a lot of live up to, and they still don't seem to be taking it seriously.

We don't know that. Honestly, all of this is what they wanted: speculation. All we can do is wait and hope they deliver with an ending that makes sense, takes advantage of player choice, and provides us closure. But we really have no idea what they're cooking up. Hopefully something REALLY yummy! :wizard:

I agree. I think that they intended to have an indoctrinated Shepard, but in the end they just gave up, due to lack of time or resources, i don't know. And then they came up with those stupid endings.

You should check out the "Indoc Theory = Free Pass, Yet they don't take it? What is wrong with EA?" thread. Its full of Liggy and I trying to explain IT to people who simply will not have it. They almost act offended by it. As if the current ending is better than one that actually makes sense... *sigh* I shouldn't be ugly about it, but it just frustrates me how sometimes people just refuse to look at what's in front of them. It is much harder, at least for me, to believe in an anti-IT ending, than it is to believe in IT. 'Luck' and 'coincidental' are not the explanations I want, or the game deserves. It also makes no logical sense for Bioware to f*** up the endings like they did unless to later explain them and provide a really neat twist.

I have been following that thread actually!
People just don't understand that IT could give more endings than we have, and that they could actually make sense!
i just wish someone could explain  to me what is so good about the endings we got. I really don't see it.

Have to agree with the original post in this, everything you wrote is much as i actually perceived the game to be and truly hope it becomes, the first time i played the game through got to the end and thought this has to be a twist and that just as you finished it would cut to something else and you would still have the real fight waiting for you...yup was i disappointed

I don't either. I think that most of the people defending the ending are people who only played ME3 and none of the other games. I'm convinced if you're a long time fan of the series, and have played every game, there is not a way you can conceivably like the endings. Unless of course, you enjoy hundreds of plotholes, inconsistencies, lying star brat dudes, and no closure to basically... anything. And yes, the EC could give us multiple endings because we don't know what happens after Shepard wakes up!

Whatever Bioware decide to go with, it's going to seriously make for a bad day for some folk, IT is the best(my opinion) get out of jail free card presently unless they come up with something better, because the only way I can see them filling in the plot holes is to totally rewrite the ending.

And if IT gets my Shepard away from starbrat and back into the real action, then I'll take it for that reason alone.

Thank you! :) I just wish more people would read it. Though I know the length probably scares off many. Understandable if you're not really interested in the subject matter.

Really? That's interesting. I got to end, but didn't expect a twist. I just recognized something was 'off' with the star brat and his logic. Things didn't seem right. So that had an effect on me choosing destroy. Plus, I'll take a chance on the future but I came to f***** destroy the Reapers, so one way or another they are going to hell!! I didn't spend almost 3 years of my life (Shepard's view) hunting them down and then to NOT destroy them just because some idiot holographic kid told me not to. F*** the kid. I've seen the hell they've brought down on the galaxy and it is ending today! The Reapers are dying.

That was my logic that day anyway. And I still feel that way. :P

Unfortunately though, the p-poor way the ending is presented, leaves a very foul taste in my mouth, and it does nothing to appease the feeling, that no matter which *color* we choose, the galaxy is still boned!

I too went into this fight with all intentions of ripping a new one for those galaxy-squids. DESTROY!!

It was not a good day, when I found out space-brat got all butt-hurt at my intention, and decided at the last second, to take a LARGE piece of civility with him!!!(the Geth!)

Screw him.

You do know this is a series about a guy who fights monsters that indoctrinate people...
Indoctrination is kind of a corner stone of the Mass Effect universe, and it's the Reaper's signature weapon...

... what way? I'm pretty sure it does.

As stated in the OP, this is my view. You can have your own view and I won't tell you its wrong. Because frankly, I and no one else knows for sure yet. Now, carry on. ;)

The way you've captured your viewpoint of the indoctrination theory is almost eerily the same as mine!

Immensely enjoyable read! Kudos to you!

After I played the game I was confused a bit. I did like the ending, but didn't understand it.
I knew things were wrong (Why don't I wear my combat suit? / Why can't I shoot the keeper?/ Why is destroy labeled Renegade-red...) but didn't put the pieces together. Finally I chose "Destroy" simply because I never liked synthetics *g*.

When I read / saw the whole IT, it made perfect sense. I believe it is true, and I have never enjoyed being fooled by a game more. Getting (as a player) indoctrinated without even recognizing, it spans the arc to Saren and ME1, I love the thought that this war can not be won by brute force but by a strong mind and quick thinking and can be figuered out by actually paying attention to what people say about indoctrination before and putting the pieces together.

Just brilliant programming imo.:)
