The only reason I keep filling these things out is because I want bioware to know how bad they ****ed up. I've long since given up hope of them un****ing this.

Cecilia L : Thanks for the help :)

frypan : Glad to hear it went smoothly, you wouldn't want to know how long we spent adjusting the wording on those questions over and over...

Just filled out the new one. Thanks for taking the time to make these. Number crunching what dissatisfied fans really want will hopefully be considered a useful form of 'constructive criticism'.

Slidell505 : We are relying on your misery! But in a good way!

Missy_MI : Thanks for the kind words. We tried to make it balanced and fair. No matter whether someone likes the ending or dislikes it, they should be able to express their opinions with this survey. (that was the goal anyways) :)

Mike:

As to the question wether or not I'd buy ME4 or not, I can't really answer without seeing what Bioware is going to propose. I'll decide based on ME4's own merits, not based on how well they fix the endings of ME3.

If ME4's story appeals to me, with a new hero, interesting new characters, etc... I'll likely pre-order it.

Flamewielder : Thanks for the feedback, we probably should have included a generic, unsure-will wait and see choice.

CELL55 : Thanks very much for taking the time to vote on both of our polls.

Many thanks all! And can I just say - I know there are a hundred different polls/ surveys etc doing the rounds, and I think every effort anyone puts in for these is a testimony to not just the dedication of those folks, but of all of us. It would be easy - and I'm in the same boat - to be jaded, over it ... another freakin' survey poll have your say how about we all etc etc. But one of the key weaknesses in keeping up social pressure for change is just that - keeping on and up when it all starts to look flat, same same, pointless.  From my perspective, I still hold hope. Having seen some of the data coming out of this survey I'm confident we can make a strong case, and present it as objectively and constructively as we can. But we need the numbers - almost 1000 now but that's still less than half way to where we got last time. Ofish and I are committed to not just holding this line, but nudging it constructively forward. All we're really doing is putting together what you're telling us and trying the best we can to get it into Bioware's thinking.

If you haven't done it; please do! If you have, please get one other person to do it!

I'd offer cookies, but any one reviewing my earlier attempt will know that they are blessedly thankful not to!!

cheers

Oh yes - and Ofish - Go to sleep!!!!

Great work! Hard copies of first survey (phase 1 really) are on the way to Bioware. Other than convincing someone to walk into Edmonton office with report hand delivered, at this stage best we can do. yes, strategy includes emails, trying to catch on Twitter etc but it's difficult. We will persist - constructively, respectfully but we will persist. Report from this survey will be packaged with earlier one and sent/ posted and ... seriously anyone willing to walk it to their front door!! I'd do it, but Australia to Canada it gets a bit wet underfoot. Anyway - many thanks

If you revisit the survey page and it has all your previous answers, and then you change some of them and resubmit, is that editing the results or does it act as a new submission? (I got curious at the earlier statement that said you could edit your response.)

Out of curiosity, who did you end up sending them to, and how many copies?

OK - way it works is you can go back and redo the survey anytime. The system will track repeats, so as per the first survey, we'll take the last entry as the one you want us to use. So no - no earlier duplicates get analysed. As per first survey, we will report how many responses we got, and how many individual entries, and what we did about that.

Re copies - the one in charge of that is sleeping. Why don't I know - because I live in Australia and we have carefully designated allocated and divided tasks. Generally speaking this is: you work thumbs off and don't sleep. Now me. Now you .... :D  Took your suggestions as I recall from your earlier post - but can update once sleep derprived No1 wakes up. Part of difficulty with just two of us and being on opposite sides of the world is time zone #$%îng difficulties.  If you're offering to assist, believe me we're listening!!! We have multiple hard copies - not sure how many went where, but we still have some to send. We'll also package these with the final report ... and I'm sure I'm about to repeat myself so I'll stop!

Many thanks - appreciated. In all fairness, we're hardly neutral, but I get what you mean - we are seriously intent on being as objective as we can be. And constructive. The fact is, from an corporate operational viewpoint I can see Bioware is in a really difficult spot. Timeframes are real - and I've worked with enough programmers to know one thing they keep hammering at me everytime I suggest 'just this little thing extra....?' is "Aieeeah!! SCOPE CREEP!!!!!!! "   If my name was Joan I would have been burned at the stake a hundred times! I sat down one day to try to work out how many threads had been created in ME1, 2 and 3. I gave up. I really can't see how any notion of ME4 can exist with the same set up - same Shep, same team mates etc. Sanity does not lie that way. This is just me speculating - believe me I know nothing! So even doing some sort of dlc struck me as - Ohhhkayy  ... so if they do this then... hang on that means  . damn so that means .... OK. Start again. Yeah well - same results - minefield. It's do-able - and needs to be done - that is to me fundamental. But I get the complexity in itself. Then there are a hundred thousand folks (plus) saying do this; fix this; pay attention to this....  all legitimate, but from a perspective of trying to work through to tasking into a development for dlc plan - erk! So we decided to do these surveys and reports. I wouldn't presume -seriously - to tell Bioware what to do. But to provide them with something that helps them develop and implement a framework that delivers the key concerns felt by those in the ME community who believe the ending can be better - absolutely! Provided we can get them to hear the message! Listening is one thing; hearing is another. But the responsibility for a message being heard is as much in the the voice of the speaker as it is in the ears of the listener. Bah - must try harder not to get on hobby horse!!!

cheers

Sadly, no assistance to be had here. I was just curious who ended up being the lucky recipients of the hardcopy reports.

I'm definitely looking forward to the results from this one. I know there were a couple that I really struggled with picking the appropriate response; it will be interesting to see the consensus.

Re assistance - no probs. Didn't really expect you to just up and volunteer. Well, maybe a little...  ; )

Responses - glad you spent time to do that. We certainly prefer folks taking their time and thinking about responses - so much appreciated.

Draikin and zombieord - many thanks. Re just the fans asking these questions - largely yes, but there have been a number of insightful articles in the media and not just gaming media - see Erik Kain's articles on ME3 in Forbes on-line for example. But yes, if it weren't for grass roots, then those articles would most likely not have been written.
