I've seen a few guides for the Geth Infiltrator, and I really thought they were selling the class rather short.  When I said as much, people asked for my take on things, so here's how I use the GI to utterly dominate Gold... even with awful teammates on what are generally considered challenging maps, with clear times faster than most people are getting on Firebase White Geth.

Okay so... Proximity Mine got buffed pretty significantly, which is a great boon for an already ridiculously effective class.  I really don't know what the heck Bioware was thinking.  I recorded my post-patch matches tonight... 4  PuGs on Gold Cerberus Glacier.  In the first two videos I get almost as much score as the entire rest of the team combined, and in the second two I get more than the entire rest of the team combined... and despite me doing all of this carrying, the run completion times are all about 20 minutes.  This is not unusual.  In short, the Geth Infiltrator, utilized properly, is an unstoppable beast and it just got better.

Oh, also, I am using no weapon or armor powers in any of these videos, just an AP ammo 1 to help with Guardians.  If I was using a melee amp (or shotgun rail amp), ammo III, and an armor power, I could be far more aggressive and do much more damage than I already am... but I generally only use the bare minimum equipment when playing PuGs.

The Build is 5/6/6/3/6, with all of the melee options in Fitness.  The weapon used is a Claymore X with a High Calibre Barrel V and a Bayonet V.

Anyways, these should give a pretty thorough idea of the very high potential of the Geth Infiltrator and how to tap it.

Unfortunately the video quality is limited, but I'm not willing to shell out a few hundred dollars for a capture card.  If anyone knows an affordable alternative for recording X360 gameplay I'm all ears.

EDIT:
Made another GI pub video to answer a request from a fellow BSN poster, thought I might as well post it on here.

People send me messages asking me to make guides "regardless of video quality."  I'm willing to spend my time and effort to record my gameplay for their benefit, but I'm not willing to shell out a few hundred dollars for a capture card.  If it irks you so much, you could donate one or suggest a reasonably priced alternative.

Stupid question, but does this buff tie into the Scorpion as well?

I don't think so.

that's fine but there are plenty of similar guides already up on youtube showing the exact same thing done by people with capture cards but if you did it for your fan club than you defiantly don't want to disappoint the fans. lol

I've seen a few other guides for the Geth Infiltrator, and frankly they just weren't playing very well at all.  Could be I was looking at the wrong ones?

Anyways, I resent guides that show you how to play badly (or at least in a mediocre fashion), so I thought it'd be worth posting a video demonstrating how to really and truly dominate Gold with them.

I'm going to disagree here. GodlessPaladin's videos are difficult to watch, but still very useful.

If your videos aren't in 1080p/720p then don't bother posting videos. My eyes hurt and I get migraines if it's worse quality than 720p.

Right, I get it, I don't have a capture card, I know.  I don't appreciate having to repeat myself.  These posts really serve no purpose except to flood the first page of replies before the people who actually have feedback or questions finish watching the videos.  :?

If you don't have anything to say, don't bother posting, yeah?

It's a Claymore with AP ammo 1, shotgun bayonet, and high calibre barrel.  I have added this information to the OP.

Mind saying what your Evolution's are for each of your powers (got a pair of reset cards so may give your build a try)

Tactical Cloak:  Damage, Melee Damage
Proximity Mine:  Radius, Damage Taken, Damage
Hunter Mode:  Power Recharge (though I'm considering respeccing for Accuracy here), Power Damage, Damage
Networked Ai:  3 ranks only.
Advanced Hardware:  Melee damage, Martial Artist, Power Synergy

The key to playing my Geth Infiltrator build is situational awareness (which is enhanced greatly by Hunter Mode) and utilizing an overwhelming offense in order to avoid damage and destroy enemies before they have any chance at all to respond to you.  You CANNOT take a shot from an assault trooper or a cannibal... but if you're doing it right, you will not be getting shot, because you move so fast, are exposed so briefly, and kill enemies so quickly.

Proximity Mine deals significant damage in a large radius, is cancelled by Cloak, and debuffs enemies to boot.  It also will set off tech, fire, and cryo bursts.  It also hits through light cover.  It synergizes with Hunter Mode, Tactical Cloak, and Power Synergy.  You can seriously just nuke a lot of enemies around corners or behind light cover with Proximity Mine alone.  Oh yeah, and it's also TOTALLY FREE to just throw down somewhere whenever no targets are around.  And it'll blow up if you fire another one.

Your melee attacks are incredibly fast and powerful and have a considerable area of effect.  Get used to exactly how long that distance is and positioning yourself properly for it to maximize the damage.  Often I will get most of an enemy spawn group in one cloak prox/melee... then finish off a straggler or two with the Claymore.  Don't forget that you can get out more melee attacks by manually spamming the melee rather than holding the button down and waiting for pulses.

If it doesn't look safe to melee a group (like if they're too spread out or something), you can easily clean them up with the Claymore even more efficiently than Sabresandiego's awesome Human Shotgun Infiltrator, because Hunter Mode plus the synergized and buffed Proximity Mine are worth more than Cryo Blast and Stickies.  You are not RELIANT on melee, you are amazing at killing things in a variety of ways.

I always like to have some form of penetration on the Claymore.  Try to line up enemies for bonus kills!  Shoot through walls that Hunter Mode made transparent!  Also, don't underestimate the Claymore's effective range.  And make sure you're reload cancelling!

Great. Just great. In a week's time, the only class filling up gold lobbies will be ginfiltrators. As if we needed more ****ing infiltrators on this game.

Why did Bioware buff them so much?

It's not just the Proximity Mines either.  Melee amps and shield regen cells benefit them more than many others.  I didn't demonstrate it in the video, but it's just ridiculous what they can do with those things.

So from skipping over them i say solid gi play :)

I personally still use the revenant and hammering them with equal efficiency instead of claymore and melee (i just cant stand 1 shot reload weapons)

Also with 2 exceptions so far ive only seen gi's that failed horribly, and the 2 exceptions had equal score with either black widow or gps x

I don't think there will be many gi's around soon, many just can't handle being fragile or the hunter mode
