The Dazzle video capture card works well, its about 40 - 50 dollars and is simple to use but kind of a pain to install to work properly but once you get it up and running it works magic. I used to film Left 4 dead matches with it. Unfortunately mine didn't have HD compatibility so I stopped after I got HDMI.

Anyways the build is pretty impressive, high risk but high pay off. I would definitely look into something similar once my Claymore gets a bit more up there for me the weight seems a bit much at its current level and I feel that hinders my play style.

nice video...but yeah....try downloading fraps *its incredibly easy to hack it so you can use it for free*

And how do you suggest I use FRAPS on an Xbox?

I have a Dazzle, and I can't get it to work right.  The video it gives me comes out really laggy and jumpy.  Also inconvenient is the fact that I can't play in HD while using it.  <_<

I go for 5/6/6/6/3 build or 4/6/6/6/4 build, and they both work pretty good. Also, wouldn't the GPS also work really well with the GI due to all the passive geth weapon bonuses it gets, along with the hunter mode buffs AND TC? Though, admittedly you would need to charge it up first in order to reach its fullest potential.

 How to play a gethfiltrator to its full potential? Forget you have a gun and use cover + cloak + proxy mine while hunter mode is active and have a ball making a explosians

Look at the videos.  Those are all PUGs with a build that has the top row in Fitness.  So I'd say very effective.

Still, I wouldn't call it "the melee build" because melee is not the only or even the main thing going for it (for example, as you can see in the fifth video on Condor Reapers, I'm rarely using the melee and I'm still tearing right through the enemy).  I just think the Geth Infiltrator is just about the only character where the top row of Fitness is actually a genuinely competitive option, whereas the melee attack evolutions for most other characters are generally rather underpowered (as evidenced by pretty much everyone choosing to go all bottom row evolutions on most characters).

The core of the GI's effectiveness (and why I find it a blast to play, personally) is the wonderful synergy and flow between all of the Geth's abilities.  Tactical Cloak, Proximity Mine, Hunter Mode, and the melee (with Power Synergy) all reinforce each other, making them considerably more than the sum of their parts.

Random bonus video!  Like the Condor vid, this was also made in response to a fellow BSN poster's PMs (as I've said before, I'm always up for taking requests from people who don't mind the quality). *Shrug*

Not my fastest solo run or anything (37 mins, and I actually make some pretty lame mistakes near the beginning while I'm getting warmed up), just one I actually recorded.  Basically just demonstrates how the HV can be effective even without combo support and when not playing against Reapers.  Thought I might as well throw it up if anyone else cared, especially since so many people seem to have never seen a Vanguard played properly.  Oh, and I get two 4-device objectives on a close-quarters map, so it demonstrates how to handle those when soloing and not an infiltrator.

Definitely approve of the recommended 5/6/6/3/6 build. I had previously done 5/6/6/6/3 with a focus in weapon damage. Respecced tonight; the damage output is on a whole new level. Somehow I thought that weapon damage would make up for the melee being somewhat weaker. I was quite wrong but not for the reason I expected; Power Synergy makes an excellent 1-2 combo with Proximity Mines.

I've been using the Talon over the Claymore, but the synergy of the build is pretty evident regardless.

Thanks. I kept trying to shoehorn in the bonus weapon damage. This works much better.
