so they can't do any wrong whatsoever right??

Edit: So... can't we really just boil this down you TX wanting "Less" choices, and the rest of us wanting "More choices" because there is no way in hell we are going to ever agree on this subject

nope...been a fan since BG1, try again.

Oh?

And yet you want even more linearity in dialouges.........

For a game like ME yes.....if it leads to more natural dialogue.

Not everything has to be the same formula.

Natural dialouge? Do you mean when it just goes on and on without any player input?

Because that is not an RPG that sounds more like games like MGS.

but I still have dialogue options and big choices....

...why does their need to be a dialogue option for every sentence?

BECAUSE I am playing my character not Biowares.........

Because if I didn't want interaction I'd watch a movie.

You are Enitiled...you thinbk that something isn;t done your style means its low standard. Nevermind the critics gave ME3 critical acclaim, once again, and even criticized the fan base for whining.

Critics like Jessica Chobot, who I can only assume was compensated for her performance as the dog-faced girl?

Critics who's sites collected money from EA/Bioware for the adspace sold around those reviews?

Critics who categorically avoided talking about the ending, or referred to it as "...certainly controversial" in passing.

Critics, whom critics from more well developed mediums have observed are less prepared to critique high-brow story issues when they are primarly focused on mechanical elements.

Critcs who didn't pay for their copy of the game, nor for the copies of the previous installments that proved that there was a market to disappoint with this 3rd game?

Before you cry moronically about EA money...answer me this...what happened to Medal of Honor? It was this huge EA blockbuster that was ad blitzed....got crappy reviews. This is a stupid argument.

Face it.....critics like the game, even despite the ending, they may have even liked them. Fans want to make excuses to why this game got great reviews. Reality is they liked it plain and simple.

Face it, it doesn't have to be the same....stop trying to force Bioware into your narrow views or formula on what their games should be.

To make YOU feel like Shepard, Mass Effect was supposed to be YOUR story not Shepard's that's what Bioware is good at making you feel like Revan/the Spirit Monk/Shepard, etc...

But Shepard IS Bioware's character, they wrote him. Face it.

If he is your character, why can't he shoot up the Citadel?

Because this is not Skyrim. This is Mass Effect, where we'd like to be to able to make choices as our character.

No, they are just out of touch with you and a whiney fanbase.

Or you are out of touch with them.

People loved the game.....deal with it.

I'm going to pretend you amended that to specify "shoot random civilians waking about the streets."

Because if I was being facetious, I would say yes you totally can kill civilians.

Hey, In Fallout 2, I can make choices on my character, but I have the freedom to kill everyone.

Beats ME in character freedom easily....

@tx,

We get it. YOU liked the changes. Happy for you.

I personally though, like to drive the character. BW previously let me do this by handing me the dialog (steering) wheel. In ME3 I'm now a back seat driver getting to say "turn left here" every so often, or worse sometimes having to take the bus.

People hated the game hard enough to get a free DLC to fix it.

Not even Duke Nukem Forever got that much hate.

Because Bioware's core strength has always been the ability to shape your own version of the protaganist. Once they remove the central plank of their RPG core why would i buy a Bioware game. As far as i'm concerned ME2 was the middle ground integrating better shooter style content while keeping that essential RPG element which is control over character interaction. I'll press for the element of their games i view as essential to return in future games.

Dialogue options and dialogue wheels are why i play Bioware games.

I really really really did not appreciate their direction in ME3 with regards to the dialogue wheel.

The less Dialogue options they put in the game the less i will like it,
I can forgive almost anything(DA2) as long as their are good dialogue options.

ME3 was a step backwards from DA2 and even ME2 . So much was said without player input,
When lines were spoken in DA2 without player input it was often based on what kind of options the player was picking prior.

Please stop arguing with txgoldrush, it's just a trolling. Sadly, BSN forums are heaven for trolls nowadays, largest concentration of really really angry people with a justified cause, I have never seen on any forums.

But don;t act like its flawed....

Yes, your approach has advantages of freedom...but the ME3 approach has narrative advantages as well.

People here just cannot concede this.

Would I like more dialogue options in the next BW game? Yes, if they can keep the natural flow and not throw everything into severe black and white.
