It should definetly be possible for us to reach 4000 EMS without playing MP. While MP is fun for some time, I don't want to play MP everytime before I start the final mission of the SP campaign on a new playthrough.

Also what, if MP servers will be shut down in a few years or no one is playing ME3 MP in a few years? If I want to play ME3 again in some years but MP is not available anymore, I will not be able to reach the best possible ending.

Should definetly be looked into, so that we can reach 4000 EMS without playing MP.

I don't think thay've thought that far ahead yet (MP Servers).

I personally think they cut alot out of the finished game for dlc (ashes as an example), and someone at Bioware got  their war asset sums wrong for the single player.

Just finished another play through. 7049 TMS, about in line with my other play throughs. Blah blah blah same old story, imported Shepard from first and second games, all DLC's, all missions done, most quests done, still nowhere near the magic 8000 figure.

Also I hate that this has been split up between three different forums. Divide and conquer indeed.

I like how this issue would completely go away with a simple edit to the coalesced.bin.

Thanks, but I'm not editing anything, as I don't want to cheat.

It's not cheating, it's getting what you deserve. And you don't need to Edit coalesced.bin, the newest Gibbed edition has a EMS option in it.

Thanks for the info and your suggestion.Image IPB

The thing is I shouldn't have to edit anything and I won't on principle. Bioware said you could get the best ending without multiplayer ect........................Well so far after two months of the game being out,

No one has managed or proven getting the 4000EMS on single player only.
We've had devs telling us 'It can be done'(you stupid SP players), but not saying how, or giving us any proof.
We've had numerous threads on this issue being 'Locked Down', saying 'It can be done'. Again not how!
We've had a sticky thread from Jarrett Lee saying 'It can be done', but not saying how.
We've then had a hiccup in the server for that sticky thread to then be unsticked.
We've then had Chris Priestly 'Lock DownImage IPB' a thread to say well 'Mike Gamble tweeted to some fan that he was looking into the EMS issue'.
We've then been told this issue is a bug! Really? And so we have to post about this issue on the tech forums!

And yet we've still had no official post from any dev on these forums to say, 'Yes there is a problem. We are definitely looking into it and we'll get back to you as soon as we know anything.

Another thing(I'm on a roll now), numerous people have taken the time out to post time consuming lists of their accumalated war assets to see if it might help the devs out with the problem! And not one single post from a Bioware dev to say thanks for the info.

I agree completely.
The EMS issue is my greatest Problem with ME3. (Yes I didn't have problem with the ending. At least no big one.)  So it should be acknowledge and also fixed. But in the meantime, I do what I do as a PC gamer for 30 years now.
I achieve it by myself :)

I thought people might find this interesting..... "Evil" Chris Priestly admits himself, via Twitter, that the Tech forums are for users helping users and that Bioware devs don't have anything to do with them....

http://twitter.com/#...912559911022594 (fixed the link)

So what can we conclude about the way EA/Bioware views our issue?

Yup...  stay classy guys....

Thanks for the link Ravennus.

This just proves to me that they will not deal with this issue now. Image IPB

Why send us to the tech forums Chris?
When you closed down the EMS thread in the general discussion forum, you said 'Bug' issues needed to go to the tech forums, but bugs need to be fixed by Bioware, and( conveniently for you now ) tech forums are for fans helping fans only.
Where do I need to go to get this so called BUGImage IPB sorted out by a dev?

I guess you can try contacting EA Support, but this will just send you to some guy in Mumbai or Bangalore who does not really know anything about this issue.

And they wouldn't be able to fix it anyway - even assuming it is a bug which seems increasingly unlikely. Must avoid the L word, must avoid the L word.

Not that it really seems to matter the only Bioware staff I've seen in ages are John and Allan (poor sods).

Yeah, I think a lot of people have given up on this issue now, although the thread in the general discussion and the XBox thread seem to be faring betterImage IPB

Not on PC but wanted to show some support -still here, still fighting to get this issue dealt with!

Like to think people haven't given up - Bioware were wrong to do this - and should sort it out. This is not how I, for one, want to see future SP games go ie with MP being forced on us to access parts of the SP game no matter how small/short those scenes might be.

I agree.

A lot of people are saying,  'Well it's only a small scene at the end with Shep, why bother?'.
For me, there is a much bigger precedent here. I can see the death of the single player only games. Where multiplayer & ios will be needed to be able to finish a game, and it's already started with ME3.

9 days since I last posted and all we have are the same howls of frustration from users and no attempt by BW to give us any confidence it's being addressed in a serious manner (and no PMs and twitter half responses do not count). Really is it that hard?

Bioware has the worst PR people on planet. Their condescending attitude towards people who find actual bugs in their game is aggravating.
Unless it's not a bug at all.

I suspect they don't give a damn, that's why this has been relegated to a an area Bioware doesn't look at. "Out of sight, out of mind" as the old saying goes.

Maybe they'll do something once they've milked what they can from MP.

Do lockdown the threads in general though - seems to be all any of the mods* are doing at the moment lockdown, lockdown, lock down....

How dare you expect us to honour pre release statements not appreciate our genius!

Seriously guys it's one line - "yes,it's a bug; yes, we're going to fix it" seriously how hard would that be?

Alternatively "no, it's working as intended go away" in which case there will be a brief rage followed by everyone going away.

Either option has to be better than what they have at the moment

*Except John and Allen who have some very interesting conversations and should always be considered exempt from any of my ****ing about the support.
