That's an optimistic reading of the quote. Nowhere in that quote did he make any commitment to fix any of those issues just that they are 'investigating' just like they have been for months. And given that gibbed can fix the issue in <10minutes it ain't all that complicated to brute force a solution - assuming of course they acknowledge the issue which they have never officially done in any of the repeated threads on the issue.

I agree, there has been absolutely no official acknowledgement of this issue anywhere from Bioware.

Sigh so a side mention is the closest we've seen to an acknowledgement, it's a sign of how desperate I am that I take some comfort in that

Yep!

That's the way to treat your customers Bioware. Firstly promising that multiplayer would not effect the single player game in any way, and then when there is obvious proof that it does effect SP, devs LOCKDOWN nearly every thread about the issue, and then after 3 months a little side mention of acknowledgement on the issue on some random post.

Way to go!

So the Extended Cut FAQ doesn't address whether the EMS issue has been fixed, any chance of a dev comment now?

There is a new sticky, but it pretty much spells out that this WASN'T a bug, and was intended behavior.
Apparently we just didn't try hard enough in the fight for Earth.... so they are going to throw us a bone. Yay.

I interpreted Priestly's post in the other forum to say the original behaviour was as intended (despite their statements to the contrary).

His recent tweet suggests the threshold for the easter-egg ending has been reduced. Did anyone come up with a final answer on the highest achievable EMS value from SP only?

That's been known for a while now. It's around 3700 EMS.

I don't plan on upping my readiness rating at all for the EC, so we'll see if I can still get that ending.
