You think Grunt's scene would've worked better if he actually died?

No I really like what they did with this.

The Grunt mission is perfect as is. If he's loyal he survives, otherwise he dies. Just like ME gameplay should be.

If grunt was loyal at the end of ME2 then he will survive. If he wasn't, he won't. Also, if you save the rachni queen you get her as an asset, but if she died in ME1 then she will betray you and you will lose the asset. Also aralakh company will be lost if you save the queen.

Actually I'm not sure either way. I don't tend to like characters dying in games (especially those I like) unless it's for a very good reason but in this case I never felt any emotional attachment to Grunt until that scene. In mine he survived, which was absolutely great... I had a new respect for his character.

But if he had died it would have been a great swan song for him to leave with actually having impacted on me emotionally for the first time.

But he can die in that scene...If he is unloyal.

It was a nice surprise to see him survive, kind of a relief.

I agree. Also my girl (who watched the games, movie like) would have been heart broken if he died there.

He can die in that scene provided some critical decisions are overlooked.

I didn't know that. How is that possible?

Its the same scene, except when he looks back no one comes out...and he just says Let's Go....probably has to do with his loyalty...

Grunt's scene would have been better if you had gotten a chance to try and stop him and he ignores you.

This is probably my third or fourth post on the subject but, seriously, leaving your teen-aged Krogan ward behind to die is bizarrely OOC for a Paragon Shep.

Sometimes I think nobody understands the Krogan.

Leaving him to fight his way through reaperized Rachnii was the Krogan equivalent of taking him to Disneyland.

I agree :D
