Goofy Stuff You'd Like to See in DA3

Okay everyone,

There has been tons and tons of threads about stuff we'd love to see in DA3, from the environments, to the types of companions, to the dialogue system to the combat... the lists go on and on. Why not have a topic about the goofy/silly stuff we'd like to see in DA3?

Personally, any reference to Varric's chest hair (even if Varric doesn't make it into the game, maybe a codex entry or overheard dialogue) would be a welcome gaff. As would the return of any coloured Panataloons (BG fans, you know what I'm talking about).

Or... and this one may be a bit more sensitive... how about a unique piece of equipment called The Shield of the Marauder? Who stood alone and perished against unbeatable odds in the hopes that he would save his enemy from experiencing a fate worse than death...?

I think THAT would be a riot. And a slight Tip O' The Hat to the BSN Forumites.

As long as Varric's chest hair appears in DA3, I don't mind if he's a no-show. j/k

I'd like to see a drinking contest between Oghren and Varric, with them both being brought to the table on mabari chariots.

Or...I'd like to walk in on Fenris and find him dancing, as he suggests that he does while alone in his mansion to Varric.  Perhaps in DA3, he could have a new mansion, with a fresh set of corpses on the floor.

I would like to see some pointless mini-games, like gambling, arm wrestling, fishing, baking, getting a job.
I would also like to talk to random people and have a conversation about non-plot related stuff.
Getting drunk is always funny, but I would like to get my companions drunk.

Would taking your love interest out on a date count as goofy?

Only if it was half as awkward as Aveline and Donnic's first date, says this guy.

Or if during the date, it turned into a fully fleshed out side quest, where the date keeps getting interrupted by hero work and you have to work at both saving the day and salvaging the date? I'd take that as an amusing, light hearted and aggreeable distraction from the main game.

@Fast Jimmy : Shield of the Marauder...that is just epic :wizard:+100 approval
I like goofy BW game cross-references like "The Effect has Mass"  codex entry in Orzammar in DAO...or the Ogre statue in ME2,but I am a sucker for this stuff.

@Arthur Cousland : Varric`s chest hair without Varric lol. Maybe they could sell waistcoats looking like it,as special equipment.

I personally would love to sneak some "Essence of Truth" in a beer keg, have everybody speak their minds and gather intel in a tavern that way, without having to resort to threats of bodily harm.

This is such a good idea. Those two would be hilarious together.

I had forgotten how much I enjoyed that Aveline and Donnic awkwardness quest line too. That kind of goofy humour really helps to break things up.

Fun idea for a thread Jimmy. :)

I'm all for silly stuff and/or hidden references in a game.

I can just see it now... You walk into a brothel with your party and overhear two women talking;
Woman #1: "You should've seen this guy that came in two weeks ago.A burly dwarf with a dimpled chin and blonde hair."
Woman #2: "Mm, sounds like a real looker."
Woman#1: "His chest was all covered in glorious hair!"
Woman #2: "Sigh."
Woman #1: "What?"
Woman #2: "You're so obsessed, that I'm surprised your chest didn't start sprouting hair!"

That's a good idea for the shield. They could also call it: Marauder's Shield. And it would have a crest on it that looks like a Marauder. lol

This is probably the 30th time I've posted ...

pantaloons

... on this forum. But, surely, they'll see it soon.

Bystander1: Is it me, or do the elves look different?
Bystander2: They all look the same to me.
Elf passerby: Shemlen. We all look alike to 'em.

If Oghren returns I would like to see him doing karaoke/singing a song while being drunk on stage in a tavern with an audience. And the companions have some hilarious conversation about it.

God, I would love that so very much. It has to happen.
Also the Marauder's shield idea <3

Of course we need the best goof of all: Sandal.

I like references to other stuff, like in DA:O, the meteor metal ore and it's Superman reference.

Drunken conversations with inanimate objects.

The Stop sign in V:TM:B remains one of the most memorable moments I've ever had in a game, period.

There were some drunk dwarves singing in the tavern in Orzammar.  I wouldn't mind seeing Oghren doing the same.

Naked and drunken Oghren riding a gorilla into battle against the Darkspawn.

Is it disturbing? Yes. Is it weird? Yes. Is it creepy? Most definitely.

But would it be absolutely hilarious, if done right (both the act itself and subsequent dialogue with him)?

Abso-frickin-lutely
