I know you could kill him in DA:O. Maybe his son is the new Ser Landry?
"I demand satisfaction of you, ser!"
Frankly I could have the guy come up to me with some ridiculous reason for dueling me every game and still love it. He could be the DA Conrad Verner.

There were some drunk dwarves singing in the tavern in Orzammar. I wouldn't mind seeing Oghren doing the same.sjpelkessjpeler wrote...
If Oghren returns I would like to see him doing karaoke/singing a song while being drunk on stage in a tavern with an audience. And the companions have some hilarious conversation about it.
Or maybe even a like minded companion joining him in a serenade to whatever

I'd like for your PC to get drugged by some mask-wearing Orlesian. Until the drugs wear off, the paraphrases don't make any sense, and your replies are never what you'd expect.
I'd just like to say that I LOVE this idea.
LOVE.

More like Sten's embarassment when teased by Leliana about playing with a kitten, or picking flowers.
More jokes like Fenrus' dancing around his house, or what to do with Bartrum when he's found.
Also a " last man/woman standing" drinking contest at the Hanged man.
A lot of the npc banter was really funny, and sort of comic relief from all the fighting. I hope there is more of that in DA3!

More outrageous statements like Ogren's to Alistair in the deep roads, when he was making remarks about Alistair's romance.

Oh! I love to have a drinking contest with someone...LOL! You could even cheat depending on your class.
Starting bar fights would be funny too.

I think there's too much humor in Dragon Age. That's not to say that it isn't absolutely hilarious. I just feel that it breaks the tone of the game. I believe they should scale it back a little bit.
What he means is "MORE FART JOKES!"

I can see what you mean but I think DA does a good job at spreading the humor around. I loved Fallout: NV's Wild Wasteland perk as well. I felt the weird stuff there didn't take away from the overall drama.

Would taking your love interest out on a date count as goofy?
Depends on who it is. I can imagine a date with Merrill being hilarious (in an adorable sort of way).

What I mean is, the humor is great, but there's just so much of it. It's hard to maintain the dire tone when there a joke being cracked every 30 minutes.
The rogues are to blame.
I can't agree with you though. I loved the humor.

Given that some of my favourite "old school" games like BG2 (Lilarcor and Minsc; Edwina; etc) , and PST (Nordom and Morte... oh Morte... so much awesome) probably had more of it. PST maybe isn't as "serious" of a tone, but the party banter in particular helps a lot and I loved the sass between Alistair and Morrigan, and pretty much anything involving Isabela or Varric.

But what else....
Bah, I can't think of anything else.

Just saw the banter between Morrigan and Sten again involving 'intimate relations' . Forgot about it completely. Saw it on one of my first playthroughs of DAO.
It's hilarious. Sten takes Morrigan's nose there

You know have a whole Nutty Professor thing going, instead of love potions it could even be something like shapeshifting.
It's not really goofy, really more sadistic. But the reactions would be priceless from everybody in and out of game.
